I need three or four in 28mm but different poses not all the same pose. |

I have been searching for that creature for quite some time (either for 28mm or 15mm). I almost feel like a cryptozoologist. Search TMP for "chupacabra", though you may not like how few choices there are (other than lots of conversions). In fact, if you widen your search to include the SF Discussion Board and the Pulp Discussion Board, you might get more replies or, at the very least, show manufacturers that there is a demand for figures of that critter. Just tell Bill. Dan |

Is there any fantastical consensus on what the thing looks like? |

LOL. As for a "fantastical consensus" . . . It seems that these days any mangy dog or Xolo (Xoloitzcuintli) seen in mainland North and South America since 2004 is singled out as a Chupacabra. However, where it was first reported, it was consistently described as a 1 meter tall creature with reptilian and baboon features (Puerto Rico, starting in March 1995, though there was a flurry of activity in 1975). They were never described as dog-like. Here are some examples: picture link picture picture picture picture It is supposed to be bipedal at times, and able to jump up and from tree branches. That is not dog-like at all. So, if I was going to sculpt a set of Chupacabras, I would make them looking like a cross between a reptile and a baboon. That is how they were first described, and continue to be described, in the original location (Puerto Rico). Dan |

Reaper does one in their Chronoscope line; I looked at it yesterday in my FLHS. It's small though – I think of the Chrono figs as 25mm, not 28, and the Chupa is only half the height of a normal fig. Comes with a goat, though. :) |

Some defunct line that Tactical Miniatures (also defunct?) owned had at least two poses. As an aside, chupacabra stories are my *favorite* cryptozoological stories because a shooting is often involved. Bigfoot stories are often letdowns: Okay, so you were in the woods? Yep. . . . and you saw a giant monkeydude? Yep. . . . and he made noises and threw rocks in your general direction? Yep. . . . and you had a deer rifle? Yep. What did you do next? I ran! |

The Chupa might be 25mm but all My Chronoscopes are over 28mm. I thought about using D&D Slaads but didn't link them that well. |

Hmm. Though I was hoping for something a little better from Reaper, at least they didn't sculpt it like a mangy dog or a Xolo(cuitli): link Smaller arms and Kangaroo-like legs would have made it much better: picture Dan |

National Geographic's "Paranatural: Chupacabras" (which originally aired January 23, 2010): YouTube link Despite all the misidentified mangy dogs, it seems like quite a few people are still looking for the original reptilian creature. Dan |

Those look nothing like the chupacabra that lived in my house for years.
(My first bought-new laptop was a Sony Vaio Z505, and I named it "chupacabra".) The sculptor of those miniatures went hard for the dog theme. They look like reptilian werewolves.
