Just the two legs? GW's Squigs are close, if a lot toothier. |
Cacique Caribe | 09 Apr 2010 10:59 a.m. PST |
How big are those "Squigs"? Dan |
Farstar | 09 Apr 2010 11:01 a.m. PST |
A bit larger that you are looking for. Maybe 20mm tall standing still (which they rarely are). |
Cacique Caribe | 09 Apr 2010 11:05 a.m. PST |
Wow. Thanks. link I wonder if they make some in plastic, so as to convert some of the features a bit. Dan |

I thought you were looking for an ALLEN pig-like creature. They're probably too big for what you want (more like 30mm) and a pair of legs too many, but the Hasslefree Mawe are AWESOME: link To be honest though, these are the one sculpt that might be simple enough that I'd try to do my own with green stuff. Very little proportion or equipment detail to worry about! - Bob |

I don't remember that critter in the movie
guess that's an excuse to watch it again. First thing I thought of was the squigs
but yeah, sculpting your own might be as easy as converting. |

Venusboys3: "guess that's an excuse to watch it again" What? You actually need an excuse to watch that movie again? :) Dan |

Guys, Are these plastic ones any smaller? auction Thanks. Dan |

Are these plastic ones any smaller? smaller, yes
but I don't think they're the same sort of squig. Orks/Goblins have lots of different types
some of them cross over into the old Tyranid critters range. What? You actually need an excuse to watch that movie again? :) Actually, I've only seen it once
and that was at the free screening when we had NO CLUE what we were about to see
so my expectations were zero. It'd be nice to watch it again without the constant expectation of
sucktion. Also, references to it keep coming up at our game nights and I'm always the one who doesn't get them
I need a refresher. |

Do watch it again. You will enjoy it. I watch it two or three times each year. Laughter is good for the body and mind. Cool images from the film here: link Dan |

There are the Dungers from Ramshackle Games, but I think they are the same size as the GW Squigs. link And there are the Muccins by Zombiesmith They are about 9 mm. link Mark |

The Muccins are so weird, in a good way! |

Wow. Lots of great choices for 28mm. Thanks. I guess i may have to consider sculpting something smaller, that would be shorter or equal in size to a 15mm figure. I'm already considering something that would be a cross between a piranha and a lizard. Hope to post a concept drawing on my Flickr account soon, for you guys to provide feedback. Thanks again for all the great suggestions. Dan |

There are some very old Archive Miniatures that were two footed rust hogs which look fairly similar
A little bit of green stuff to make their teeth and mouth bigger and they'd be spot on
Now you just need to find out where to get 30 year old Archive Miniatures. |
