LMAO! Just seen the New Dr Who.
The upcoming episodes will have Spitfire IX's in Space shooting up aliens and stuff!

C'mon! WHY has nobody done a game of that yet!

The RPG Tales from the Floating Vagabond had Me-109's in space… The Spitfire's couldn't be too far behind, just sayin'.

There was an RPG setting called "Rocketship Empires" that projected the late 1930's into space, starting at 1936. The setting is essentially dead in the water now, but the pdf's are maybe still available at RPGNow. Spitfires weren't in space…yet, but Hurricane's and Me-109's were, as were a number of other then-available a/c. The setting was systemless, so something like Silent Death (my plan) would be the way to go for rules.

There was a Commando comic with the title 'Spaceman in a Spitfire'. So there you go.
