You might see our announcement on TMP as soon as it clears the Editors queue, but here is a direct link to the web shop right now:

Give those Cultists some firearms and make them in 25mm and I'm in!

;-)

Pole Bitwy PL22 Mar 2010 12:37 p.m. PST

Firearms already being added. A mixture of AK47 and Thompson SMG, followed by blades and female cultists for 15mm. Is there a market for 25mm cultists ?

Mooseworks822 Mar 2010 12:41 p.m. PST

Cool!

15z3 for four simians? I usually won't pay more than 14z3 for my Simians!!! evil grin

What is the name of Ernie Anastos is a z3?

Pole Bitwy PL22 Mar 2010 12:57 p.m. PST

Errr… porfirio rubirosa you can change to a more popular currency like Euros, Dollars or Pounds down at the bottom right of most pages.

Zł or in your case z3 is the short symbol for Polish Złotys or PLN. Its a weird bug with having multiple currencies and languages in one webshop

Are you going to make 6mm versions of the Apes ?

Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut22 Mar 2010 1:00 p.m. PST

@porfirio: there is a pull-down menu to change the currency, 8 cultists are 4.32 US Dollars, and 4 Simians are 5.32 US Dollars.

Good prices, haven't looked at shipping rates yet.

@Pole Bitwy: congrats on getting your webstore up and running. I will be placing a small order hopefully within a month (possibly larger if you release more before then.)

JRacel22 Mar 2010 1:06 p.m. PST

Drats, I can not get to the website from the office. Now I have to wait until I get home!

Impala: Unfortunately we are going to release miniatures soon. So sorry :)
More zombies, more cultists, more Simians, more werewolves as well as aquamen plus modern and WWII Polish troops.
And thats just for starters…

Legion4: Still waiting to hear what the caster did with them :D Either way more are planned to complete the package.

Cacique Caribe22 Mar 2010 1:20 p.m. PST

That is wonderful news, Piotr!

I'll be placing an order right after next paycheck.

Thanks.

Dan

Ah, I see, you might want to put a reference to that at the top of the page, not down in the lower righthand corner, just above "who's online." lol

Thanks PB !! thumbs up

momoiro kakaricho22 Mar 2010 2:25 p.m. PST

I like that the pictures are taken with the graph paper in the background. I take it that the heavy lines are 5mm increments?

The simians look like they may be good for Uplift Wars chimps in 1/72.

Pole Bitwy PL22 Mar 2010 2:27 p.m. PST

Jeff: Is that a corporate firewall issue ?

porfirio rubirosa: Great idea ! I modified the layout and moved the currency and language boxes to the top. Hope its better now ?

Thanks Dan ! :)

momoiro kakaricho: You are absolutely right. Those are 5mm increments. I will try and get some 1:72 minis photographed next to a Simian.

(I make fun of others)22 Mar 2010 2:40 p.m. PST

I would go one step further -- I would mention it in the text at the top of the page. Arguably it is the most important thing your reader needs to know.

JRacel22 Mar 2010 2:42 p.m. PST

Jeff: Is that a corporate firewall issue ?

Most likely, but it seems to timeout rather than give me a blocked by the firewall error. Not a big deal, I can see it when I get home.

I wonder what postage will be for an order sent to the U.S.? Can't find that info on the site.

Pole Bitwy PL22 Mar 2010 5:02 p.m. PST

So perhaps I misunderstood the term "parade dress" – maybe instead of "the same appearance as they would have on parade (except for the overalls)" it means "they wore their parade uniforms as well as any other items that could help them keep warm"?

nvdoyle22 Mar 2010 5:05 p.m. PST

Modern Polish troops? Poles versus Simians!

'Poor Poland – so far from God, so close to Germany and Russia…and so many giant carnivorous space apes!'

Pole Bitwy PL22 Mar 2010 5:15 p.m. PST

The 'bug' strikes again !

Sloppypainter: try this link with a short explanation

link

Nvdoyle: Actually, we have weapons and body parts ready for 15mm US Delta Force and Rangers as well as Somali Pirates. My personal favorite is gaming Simians vs. Cultists…

Thanks,

Piotr @ Pole Bitwy

"Is there a market for 25mm cultists "

There is for Warhammer 40k players!

;-)

Sloppypainter22 Mar 2010 8:22 p.m. PST

Wow. The shipping is much less than I expected. Will wait until the moderns are ready and order a bunch of stuff. (Or maybe I'll get some now and some later??)

Pole Bitwy PL23 Mar 2010 12:00 a.m. PST

Sloppypainter: The moderns are still quite a bit from being ready so the wait might be longer than you expected :D

Uesegi Kenshin: I was under the impression that 40K players played 28mm or even 32mm heroic scale and not 25mm ? Unless they want short cultists ?

runs with scissors23 Mar 2010 8:10 a.m. PST

What scale are you planning to do the WW2 Poles in? I am working on a 6mm army now but am still trying to decide whether to do them in 20mm or 28mm for smaller games. 28mm looks better but nobody does the 10th Mechanized Brigade in 28mm yet. The cultists look good, but I'd prefer to see some with their hoods up.

Pole Bitwy PL23 Mar 2010 10:39 a.m. PST

Runs with scissors: Its basically a dual project ;) One range for 15mm gaming compatible with certain popular miniatures ;) while another will target the 1:72 scale.
There are more cultists planned: with hoods, with sharp pointy machetes, with Thompsons and AK47. Of course more sculpts will be made if we sell some of those first :D

Dragon Gunner23 Mar 2010 5:48 p.m. PST

The cultists are on my list once the range expands and I will pick up the rage zombies.

Cacique Caribe08 Jun 2010 4:53 p.m. PST

Piotr: "There are more cultists planned: with hoods, with sharp pointy machetes, with Thompsons and AK47"

Have you considered converting some of your cultists by adding shaved heads and, perhaps even, Egyptian-style collars (or head gear)?

You already have the basic poses and costume for what I'm talking about:

Here's an example of what could be done:

One or two could be done as the high priest in the clips.

I figured that would make them appealing not just to Pulp gamers, but to SF gamers as well. Maybe even VSF.

What do you think? A possibility?

Dan

Cacique Caribe08 Jun 2010 5:02 p.m. PST

Or . . .

How about just fitting them with masks like these?

jeffcarlisle.com/node/114
jeffcarlisle.com/node/116
jeffcarlisle.com/node/109

That would be a LOT simpler and would also make them extremely appealing to Pulp and SF gamers! And, again, maybe even VSF gamers.

Your thoughts?

Dan
