you are correct, I miss counted on the dates, my mistake.

No problem.

I have seen "The Duelist" and we OBVIOUSLY have different tastes because I found the movie boring, not well written and very slow, as a matter of fact I think I fell asleep during it.

That's how it goes. I seemed to have liked "The Pacific" much better than you liked "The Duelists" though.

The Duelists is a small story involving a couple guys and only vaguely refers to the wars it crosses. The Pacific is a much bigger story in space and complexity and they are not comparable.

But it fits the criteria given to me. Scope and complexity of the story has nothing to do with quality film making. Is "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" inherently a better film because of it's sweeping time line, than "My Dinner with Andre" which takes place in real time, over a single dinner?

Give Pacific a second or third watch over the next year. The story may fit together a little better.

That sounds like a backhand compliment. wink But probably good advice.
