Well, I could do with a better camera, but for the first time I have actually posted pictures of the game I ran a number of times at Cold Wars on Photobucket. Enjoy!!

Great looking game, Naz! I thought that Pelelieu game
you ran at Southern Front 2-3 years ago would be tough
to beat, but the Tarawa game seems to fill that bill !

Thanks Naz for the Pics.

Great work on the board and miniatures. Just in time for the HBO production on TV.

I saw it in person, but you were busy running the game and I didn't want to interrupt to compliment you. Great job.

I wish I had seen it in action. I saw it as I wandered back from the Hot Dog stand to the dealer hall…looked amazing!

Were the small foxhole inserts for pop up attacks?

nazrat16 Mar 2010 9:17 p.m. PST

They could be, but the scenario specifically called for the Japanese to be dug in in foxholes all over the board if they wanted to. So I made it so they had their choice. Interestingly enough the guys who played the Japs on Saturday plugged almost all the foxholes and relied on the few slit trenches, the bunkers, and the trees for cover. And they won by two points, too.

And they won by two points, too.

That'd be me :)

It was a great game!
Beautiful to behold and a lot of fun to play
