Yesterday was just posting a picture of the board, now it's time for some in-game shots from my Contemptible Little Armies game at Cold Wars.

First up is the White Russian deployment. They had heavy wooded area on either side of a pass. They deployed their armored car, HMG team and Field gun with a clear line up the pass. They had one infantry squad and the elite shock force on on the right side of the deployment with their commander and 2 infantry squads and an allied British infantry unit on the left with a staff officer.

The Warlord Chinese basically took cover in the buildings. They deployed one HMG on the roof os a building on their right, another on the ground on their left, and the field gun in the center. All had a clear line of sight down the pass. They also had two off-board artillery barrages which they had to pre-determine turn and placement.

In this picture we see their cavalry waiting behind the building for their chance to break out.

After taking casualties early on to the field gun, artillery, and HMGs, 2 Russian infantry units and the British allies prepare to break from cover and storm the buildings.

Here we see the Dare to Die unit battling a regular infantry squad with the shock force squad preparing to add their muscle to the fight. The Dare to Die troops fought bravely and inflicted enough losses on the two units that they would play no more part in the game.

picture

The cavalry breaks from cover and charges the remnants of the Russian infantry squad. Though successful, the cavalry lost half the squad and also would be unable to do much more.

picture

The final battle at the walls of the city. The British allies storm the walls, but the Warlord's Bodyguard bloodies them tremendously in the process. With the British ready to break, the game was called as the Russians had only one half infantry unit left to assault and too many of the defender's remained.
