I am lookin at startin a British 1812ish army and as such have purchased the Victix Pen Brit box set. I was wondering the following: 1. Do they match up with the Perry plastics for size and look? 2. Do the Front Rank figs fit with them or am I better of with another maker? 3. Is there a figure comparison site for the different metal/ plastic figs? |

I have converted some of the British from Victrix to be Carlist War BAL troops and you can't tell the difference from any distance between those figures and the other Perry Carlist war figs on the same base. |

Scroll down the page and you'll find a comparison between Front Rank, Foundry, Victrix and Perry. link |

1. Do they match up with the Perry plastics for size and look? Perfectly IMO. As well as both makers' metals too, for that matter. Most parts (like arms, etc.) can be swapped without a problem. 2. Do the Front Rank figs fit with them or am I better off with another maker? Probably best in separate units – FR are generally thicker – I think the muskets and bayonets would be the major difference between them and Perry/Victrix. Perry & Victrix weapons are almost identical – Perry bayonets a bit more robust. |

Camcleod – thanks for the pics, good to see how my small collection of Foundry will match up with the Perry/Victrixs |

Dean, All those figures looked compatable to me. We should probably consider two levels of compatability. 'Primary compatability' being figures interchangeable within the same unit; and 'secondary compatability' being figures being compatable in separate units. The figures shown immediately above seem to be primary compatable. |
