bit of nostalgia
I remember back in ?1970-1973 going in to a sears store at xmas time. they had a big display of prehistoric models, all with interlocking bases all put together and painted. these were prehistoric snap together beauties probably at least 6inches tall for cavemen. I had several of the cavemen and pterodactyl. but it was a well thought out ,fitting together sort of diorama thing(it was so cool it had to be german). Im sure someone here remembers the name of the series and hopefully can provide a link so I can relive my childhood a little. |

Hi That would be the outstanding Airfix Prehistoric Scene set. I still have most of my sets. Bill D |

Yes, Aurora. Revell has re-issued some of the sets. |

I got a bunch of those as a kid
loads of fun. The Tyrannosaur model was huge. Our local Hobbytown has most of the dinosaur kits from it but I haven't seen any rereleases of the scenic stuff like the cave and the swamp. |

Think I've got a few of them in the attic myself. |
