I have updated my blog with some in progress shots of my French Napoleonic line infantry battalion composed of Victrix plastic figures. Early days for both the blog and the figures, both are new to me. link |

Nice work, but I don't think your bicorn compromise is going to work out very well. The 6-company battalion dates to 1808, and by 1809 we know that there were no longer any bicorns in the French infantry. Besides, didn't some of the army in Egypt wear the old leather casque helmets? I'm not very picky about the exact right uniforms for a given campaign, but bicorn vs shako is kind of a big deal. But, hey. What do I know? Their your figures. Do what you want. |
