Can anyone advise on the uniforms of the Hanoverian Hussars in the Waterloo campaign. I am interested in The Duke of Cumberland's and the Bremen & Estorff and Bremen & Vemden (or is is Verden). Possibly I need the Prince Regent's rather than the Bremen &Estorff This is for 6mm figures so only the basic colours, my limit of detail goes to collars on the dolman and fur edging on the pelisse |

According to Haythornthwaite in 'Armies of Waterloo', the Prince Regent's wore brown busbies with blue bags and white plumes, blue dolmans with scarlet facings and silver lace, scarlet pelisses edged in grey fur. The illustrations show an officer of Bremen and Verden in a dark green dolman with red collars and cuffs laced in gold, a scarlet pelisse with white fur trim and gold lace. Trousers are dark green with a red stripe. His busby appears to be dark brown with a black bag and a red plume tipped with white. His shabraque is dark green with a plain white edge. There is also an illustration of a trooper from the Duke of Cumberland's Hussars who is wearing much the same uniform as in the link provided by Connard (though the sash round his waist is shown as red and gold rater than sky blue and gold) |
