Getting set to start Two Fat Lardies Bag The Mig games. I was searching for a couple of B29 Bombers (a pair would be good). I checked H&R/Navwar, nothing there. I looked at GHQ, nothing there. I reviewed Armaments in Miniature, nothing there. So now I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

Raiden miniatures has a 1/285 B-29 – with a plastic fuselage.

I know you quoted 1/300, but you gave me an opening with GHQ……

According to the I-94 Enterprises website, Scotia makes one.

I have the Scotia ones – they are nicely detailed but the wing doesn't fit neatly into the slot – you have to cut part of the tab off, then fill with lots of glue or putty to close the gap. You also have to be careful to prop the wings at the proper angle while they dry. Otherwise, they are nice models.

fredjg beat me to it. I suspect the Raiden 1/285 one will come out a fair bit larger than the Scotia one but their models are really nicely done and very clean castings.

Yes, Raiden has very nice castings. Haven't seen their B-29, but have some of their Japanese planes that were built to combat the bomber streams.

The Raiden B29 is excellent and much lighter than the original metal version, so easier to mount of a flight stand and cheaper.

Bargain.

To my knowlege (I do the "B'San" in 1/600) Scotia, H&R and Raiden. I would go for Raiden, the Scotia one has wing fit issues and the H&R one is bland at best,

I've got the HR ones, they're ok but I know that Raiden will be better…

Mine are H+R.I really like the old rugged(cheaper)types.
Paint up nicely.
