I am interested in gaming this anti-colonial war. I believe that I could use Eureka Indochina figs for the French. What others are there and what should I look at using for the Algerian ANL forces? |

I highly recommend the Eureka figures: I just purchased them myself and am very impressed by the sculpting. I apologize but I have no recommendations for the Algerians. |

I have the Eureka French and they are very well sculpted characterful figures. From the photos I have seen the ANL seem to be wearing greatcoats and a woolie cap. Maybe ww2 brits or russians wearing greatcoats would do. |

The Eureka Indochina figs are some of the best 15mm figures on the market. They also scale well with Peter Pig. I don't know who the sculptor was, but I hope that Eureka keeps making more lines like this one. If you get ambitious and want to do French Paras with the Bigeard Cap you could do a headswap with the Peter Pig "Modern Africa" head (Swallow Tail cap). |

Oh, and Russian Partisans (also from Eureka) make great ANL. French Partisans as well. Dress depends on where they were fighting, winter in the mountains is cold, so greatcoat there. Weapons include lots of Bolt Actions Rifles, MP40's (for NCO's), Lewis Guns, MG32 and MG42 (platoon support). And try to find yourself a subtitled copy of "Intimate Enemies", it's better than "Platoon". |

Mike Broadbent was the sculptor for Eureka IIRC. Cracking figures they are too! |
