You know,

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

I am looking for a miniature in current production or readily available, please.

This will be for a superhero cursed with the Jabberwocky mask by misdeeds of an ancestor; Druids were involved…who are hunting for the mask in current times for their own mission to bring the old ways back.

So what are his powers like?

Transformation.

Puts on mask which is a cloth full hood, no eye holes.

It wraps around, nearly choking, and then he gains strength, speed, and resistance to damage…your standard general stock hero…

The power is addictive and the player must make a series of saves to remove the mask…the power gets stronger as does he the longer he wears it.

The longer he wears it the harder it is to remove.

After a day, night is the issue, the body starts to gain feral/wild features…claws, warty skin, elongated arms/legs, and the mask starts to skin over gaining the classic Jabberwock look.

Human blood will sate the mask and allow it to be removed, the character stays in Jabberwock form but retains his human personality once the mask is sated for 24hrs…he does not have to kill to fill the blood lust, but a serious wound will do it.

So it is a darker theme…and I intend him to be a on again off again good guy…the veteran old cop near retirement alky type.

Protecting or haunting the docks of Chicago.

He also gains protection from magic based powers, poisons, and has life support (does not need to eat, sleep, breathe)

For a street sweeper level game. Bad guys are drug dealers, organized mobs, and corrupt politicians…who bring in their own powered types…think Daredevil, Luke Cage, Punisher, Black Panther types against Kingpin, Bullseye, and the Foot/Hand ninja types.

Assuming you mean you're looking for a Jabberwock and not a human in a mask . . .

The biggest one currently available is this $30 USD one by Blood Moon: picture

I haven't assembled mine yet, but I think it will be well over 100mm.

Iron Wind has this old 50mm tall Ral Partha Jabberwock available for $10: link

Citadel used to do a Jabberwock almost identical in style to the RP one in two poses, one upright and one crouching.

Metal Magic used to do one, but it didn't look anything like Tenniel's illustration. Splintered Light has made this one available again for $14: link

Discount Hobby/Mega Minis used to do one, too, similar in size to the RP one.

Furuta did two prepainted Jabberwocks that differed only in color scheme (one brown and green, one tan with red wings). They're about the same size as the Iron Wind/RP one, but they're wearing waistcoats as in Tenniel's illustration, which you mjgiht not want. They're also not easy to find anymore, but they do pop up on Ebay occasionally.

Jeff Valent did one, too, but I don't think it's available anymore: picture

Oh, and if you need to know exact heights on any of these, let me know and I'll dig them out.

Thanks guys!

The latter version of the superhero version of The Jabberwock is the monster.

As for the Black Hood he would fit right in…the Mask, if someone wanted to play him then sure, a bit on the silly side for me but it could work.
