Khurasan has their robotic Mekanoids coming out in the near future and it got me thinking, anyone else do, or have plans to do robots for 15mm? There seems to be tons of troops, a nice spread of vehicles, and various other bits but we seem to be lacking in 15mm robots! |

We need an AMEE, or something similar. Just caught the end of The Red Planet last night, and she is a killer
.. |

The six-legged robo-hound-things from the Legions of Steel line would work as an AMEE analog. The Bombots pack for Rezolution will work as a variety of low-slung "vehicular" types. The Vulcan Drone from the OGRE Miniatures line makes a nice heavy manipulator bot. Germy's 2mm SF line (produced by GZG) is also worth the look. GW's Tau Gundrones are rather scary in 15mm. The Recorder Drone that comes with the Inquisitor-scale Tau Water Caste is actually a bit smaller, but no longer available alone. The Scarabs in the Necron line (GW 40k) also work just fine in 15mm. DP9's Jovian Chronicles line has a big roboship thing that would make a terrifying Maximillian analog in 15mm. |

Actually the necron floating monster robot thing would make a cool hovertank in 15mm too. What's an AAMMEE? |
Farstar | 05 Mar 2010 12:59 p.m. PST |
You're thinking of the Tomb Spider? Yeah. The body alone is such wonderful conversion fodder. The whole model would work for a 15mm take on the Mechanoids. AMEE is a large quadruped bot. Do an image search on the name capitalized like that. |

The tomb spider could be a floating mech for people who don't want to spring for the dictator, the big cyber mech I've had made. |
Grabula | 05 Mar 2010 1:20 p.m. PST |
did you post previews of the dictator already? |

Maybe more man-sized droids would be useful. Star Wars has a huge range of designs to draw inspiration from. |

"Just caught the end of The Red Planet last night, and she is a killer
.." Well, that was good luck! It would have been horrible if you had had to sit through the entirety of that piece of crap! |

Combine Red Planet and Mission to Mars and you can get a pretty good Mars movie. |

Yes grabula it's on the forum somewhere. |

I like the "Flails" the DP9 does for Heavy Gear. They work great as a man-sized combat droid in 15mm. A bit pricy, but not as bad as some of their other stuff. |

GZG has a bunch of robotic weapon platforms, drones and gunbots, with tracked, hover, grav, and aeroform types available. There's enough there to field a robot army unless you insist on humanoid or walker combots – and every power armor suit could fill that need. |

There's enough there to field a robot army unless you insist on humanoid or walker combots For those, you use the 6mm 'Not AT Votoms' walkers for 15mm combat androids. |

NVDoyle, Is "DSM-140" one of the ones you mean? link If so, does anyone know where I might find photos of the others? Dan |

The orange figure here seems a bit small, next to a typical GZG 15mm figure. picture link I would hope that a Terminator robot would be a bit more impressive in height. TMP link Dan |

I want to see robots usable in GURPS Transhuman space games, which I'll be running in 15mm soon. I suspect the designs will have wider appeal for wargaming though. Most of the designs are man-sized insectoids of the type you often see in science fiction: spiders, lobsters/crabs, a big mining worm used in zero g, a kind of spindly-legged rat shape. They also obviously have designs that resemble humans, but of course you just use normal minis for that. While combat droids fire mini-missiles (large-bore cannon), a common weapon is the microbot swarm, which isn't going to be a visible feature on a mini. The main thing is that they are skeletal and lithe, fast-looking. Rather than clunky and powerful and clumsy. |

Has anyone used the Reviresco "Monowheel Scavengers" with their 15mm figures? tin-soldier.com/misctype.htm They are about halfway down the page. Dan |

I'm suddenly desiring a 15mm robot not unlike Maximilian from the Black Hole.
Granted some major changes have to be done as we know how the mouse likes it's IP. |
