We've got another new scenario up at fireandfury.com – 'The Neck of the Swan' – The Battle of Wetteren Bridge, 6 Sep 1944:

PDF link

This scenario is by Yours Truly and tasks a weak German infantry group with demolishing a Belgian bridge to stop the British advance on Antwerp. However, a Field Squadron of Royal Engineers from the 'Desert Rats' is already defending the bridge and British armour is roaming about the Belgian countryside. Can the Germans retake the bridge and destroy it before the British tanks show up…?

As usual, the game is designed for 'Battlefront: WWII' by the Fire & Fury people. Each infantry element represents a Section, while each heavy weapon or vehicle model represents 2-3 actuals.

If you want to convert this to 1:1, each RE Field Troop should have an HQ mounted in a halftrack, plus two sapper sections in halftracks, four sapper sections in 15cwt trucks and a recce section, comprising two Humber LRCs (the halftracks had .50s fitted). The 17pdr section had two guns and two halftracks, commanded by a Sergant.

Another great looking scenario that has some interesting aspects. I love reading your scenarios and look for inspiration for my own games. I used info from your Broekhuzien scenario to run a game a local shop last week in 6mm. I use Toofatlardies' I Ain't Been Shot Mum rules with few modifications so I can only game a portion of your scenarios. I thought this game would be attractive to the scifi/WH40K crowd at the shop with a much more demolished town than in actuality. I also used my grenadiers in place of Fallschirmjagers. I did get several positive comments and some potential new historical recruits.
