The woolly rhino will be for sale shortly in resin. I am still working on price and deciding if I will make it a limited run.

Valiant Studio will be doing the work. It will be cast separately from the base.

Best regards,

Now that is bad news (well for my wallet).

I am a little concerned over the depth of that base – seems to add a large amount of height to the figure.

Why would your wallet hurt?

What do you think is a fair price?

Neotacha will be interested, I am sure.

Nice model.

I'm not supposed to be spending any money on figures at the moment but would hate to miss this and am concentrating on 15mm to boot.

As for a fair price – hard question as the only things I can think are similar are the old Dazed miniature metals around $16 USD – $20 USD and Steve Barber models link at £6.50 GBP£8.00 GBP

The amount I would spend would be tempered by the fact 1/48th would dominate the 25mm cavemen figures I have even though they could grow 3m tall.

Fair price? Simple…

If you would not supply these to traders and sell through a website, pub only via forums and TMP-like sites: double casting cost (including a % for mould making) + 10-15% for sculpting.

If you involve traders: triple instead of double the price.

To be quite honest: it's a lovely model, but not an 88mm or 12 lbs gun, so I would not involve traders and keep sales in my own hand.

I appreciate and acknowledge the formula for profit, but what I really want to know is, "what would you pay?".

I am also keeping sales in-house as suggested. Customers will be directly dealing with myself.

I'm excited about it – that's a BEAUTIFUL sculpture.

Based on the size of the figure and the quality of the sculpt, I'd expect to pay $50-$65 dollars for it. But personally, I'd be happier if there was no base at all (or if the base was an optional accessory, available for a few extra dollars).

Too much more than $60 USD or $65 USD dollars the figure would start to become unattractive to me, and anything cheaper than $40 USD it immediately becomes a "MUST BUY NOW" kind of item.

I'm not basing those numbers on anything other than my personal peccadillos, but, well, … there ya go.

it will definite be a must buy now item.
