I've got 10 elements painted towards a Carthaginian army now, though only 7 can be used at one time. I'm yet to paint a Carthaginian, as they're all mercenaries:

I'm working on the 3Cv now (a command and an element of Phoenicians). I'm also doing the camps for my Mediterranean armies.

Those look really nice mate..

Can't wait to see some actual Carthaginians

Cheers,

TW

Thanks very much. The Carthaginian cavalry has been half done for a while now, as I change the way I go about basing. I'm just redoing the Gauls bases, and then I'll get back to the Carthos.

The Carthaginians have their leader now:

I only need to do the three 4Sp elements and I can field the army, though I'll still be waiting on the elephants.

Having finished the three Libyan 4Sp this army can now take the field:

It's still waiting on its elephants, but I've updated the page on my blog devoted to it:

The elephants are now done and the whole army is complete:

I've also updated the army page for them:

Nice Mark. Have you used the boxed set from Corvus Belli or built the army from loose elements?

Very nice, slowly making me want to start with DBA

Thanks, no I got them as individual packs, as I already had the Celts and decided that I wanted Spanish, and evenually Numidians, as well. That's why the elephants have supporting Libyan skirmishers.

thanks Mark.

I was assimilated 3 weeks ago. I am doing 5 armies at this time… it paints fast, rules are easy and you don't need a thousand figures.

Yes, I love the ability to play historical opponents in DBA; as you can quickly get a number of armies done there's no need for the Patrician Romans to meet Late Carthaginians!

Almost four years on this army now has its own camp! More pictures here:

The first of some Veteran Carthaginian Spearmen; eventually I will have nine of them for BBDBA. More pictures here: link
