Hey – anybody know of any US distributers for Mirliton SG? I found a page for "Mirliton USA," but it looks like it's from 1995 and the contact e-mail is DOA.

I'd order directly from Italy, but the shipping rates are about 2x as much(!) as the cost of the minis themselves. :(

The guy that used to own Little Wars in the Houston area still sells these online from what I have heard. But going to this site: littlewars.net makes me wonder as they say they are closing out their lines. Obviously I would contact before ordering but they should have some stock. You might contact Mirliton directly at mirliton.it and see what they say.

Funny, they are near my relatives in Italy but the Italians have such a kooky way of doing town addresses that I couldn't find their shop it Italy back when I visited 10 years ago!

Is this the site you saw? I looked at the email address and I think it is Simone and he lives in Baton Rouge. He should be on the Bayouwars YahooGroup. I will see if I can get someone to tell me. I lived in LA for about a year and a half but no one mentioned him selling them. The last I knew about Mirliton was they were being distributed by Little Wars in Houston. Then I heard the store was sold but the wholesale side of the business was not. You might try contacting Little Wars as I have stated as well.

ancientsgamer – that's the one. I'll check into Little Wars – thanks for the tip.

FYI Little Wars has gotten a bad reputation for mail order; see past threads on TMP.

I'm happy to supply the USA from the UK.

See bit.ly/a3gknA for listings and bit.ly/8P10Ou for details on international orders.

Mirosav: Thanks for the heads-up.

Martin: Thanks. I've sent an e-mail to the "info@" address on the Vexillia site.

Zenwired,

You can order directly from Mirliton too… I have sent them an email inquiry in English and Italian asking about stockists in the United States. The email would have reached them after hours though.. Will post with their reply…

You can order directly from Mirliton too…

I know, but the shipping's a nightmare…

I've purchased from Simone in Baton Rouge, LA before and had no issues. Unfortunately I do not have the email available anymore.

The only problem you may have is, Simone did not produce (at the time), and had to rely on periodic deliveries from Italy. If you request an item that he does not stock, the wait time could be several weeks, as the host in Italy is not all that responsive… IMHO

Simone's email is on the website for Mirliton USA. I will send an email out to the Bayou Wars Group and try to get his latest email in case the website's email is wrong.

I've dealt with Martin in the past. I would gladly do business with him again in the future.

ancientsgamer18 Feb 2010 8:33 p.m. PST

Okay, received information that Simone is still a U.S. agent for Mirliton. I am awaiting contact from him which may not be until next week. Zen, my email is chris dot tebo at Yahoo dot com Contact me and I will give you information soonest. I have met Simone and he is a stand up guy. He has to be, he is a lawyer in real life! LOL

Chris Tebo

PS. I plan on ordering some figures from him too as I need to fill out some Condotta and Crusader stuff.

I placed an order for some minis back in the fall from Mirliton.

1 x Dwarves of the Mountains (HT001) = 29,58EUR

1 x King of the Caverns Command (QNA010) = 1,67EUR

1 x Dwarf warriors with sword and shield (QNA004) = 3,04EUR

------------------------------------------------------

Sub-Total: 34,29EUR

Registered Mail (Rate): 12,00EUR

Handling: 1,85EUR

(net: 48,14EUR)

Total: 48,14EUR

Here is the total in USD I spent $35.66 USD

As of today
1 Euro = 1.3511 U.S. dollars

Its really not that bad. It took 2 weeks to get to me but I found the folks there were great and I will order from them soon I hope.

And they are mighty nice figures.

If they are still selling their painted figs for something like 3-4 dollars each, I suggest you grab them. I bought all that I could at a con here in Italy. Very good painting standards and excellent figures
