did this gun basically look like a 25pdr? Or did it basically look like an 18pdr from WWI?

I guess the bottom line is can I just use the WWI 18pdrs from Peter Pig, or should I just use the 25pdrs I already have?

Thanks!

neither very much actually.

They probably do look closer to a 25 pounder than an 18 pounder, but the resemblance is pretty vague.

QRF does one by itself, and one with the Dragon tracked towing vehicle:

It's a nice little model.

It is a sort of 18pdr but with pneumatic tyres. As Allen says, QRF do one.

Great link Allen. I love the bit where it says customers who bought this also bought – Brit command section, Brit infantry section, well ok fair enough, but LVTP-7A1 and Mil Mi-8 Hip E! Both of those would have made the BEF's job a lot easier in 1940!

They put everything and anything to work during the evacuation at Dunquerque!

we get some very strange mixed purchases. Aliens and Apache indians is always an intriguing one…

Are you claiming those "also bought" listings are real? I thought they where just randomly generated.

I'd second the QRF ones, very good. Try using the Peter Pig WWI gun crew in puttees and leather jackets with them. Many of the 'assets' troops still had 'tween wars uniforms.

The 'also bought' are real. We get really weird mixtures. Try ancient Romans and Modern US, WW2 French with modern German and a personal favourite, aliens and cows…

I find the QRF 18/25 pdr fiddly to put together and it is tricky to get the gun shield centered due to the rope on the right side of the shield which forces the gun off centre. Does the rope section need to be bent upwards to overlap the shovel handle?
