Here's a couple pictures of a squad I just painted for Combat Storm.

The figures are roughly 1/35 scale, a bit taller and chunkier than the old ESCI US paratrooper set, but in the ballpark with them. I bought them at Amazon, a bag of Green vs. Tan army guys for $3.99. There's about 4 each of 10 different poses: all US troops although about 1/3 look like WW2 GI's in their dress and weaponry.

For 10 cents a man, not a bad deal !

Nice work, they look like knock off Forces of Valor figures to me but maybe that is your painting style.

They're great! A cool trick I have used in 1/72 for creating opponents for modern US troops-just remove head detail and sculpt on a basic ski mask in its place. Then paint the uniforms in civilian colors. An easy way to make yourself some insurgents.

Thanks, guys. That is my painting style, Phil. But you could well be right about the poses. For example, one of the WW2 guys carrying a BAR looks copied from the Tamiya US infantry set. Still, I think they're something different relative to your average Chinese clones.

Very nice looking stuff… thanks for sharing.

I do like the look of them, fingers crossed they make it to the UK soon.

Good paintjob no doubts, I like the old desert BDU.

The figures are pretty awful tough… except the last man in the team I love the "wait I am about to sit on the toilet" pose.

But as someone said… 10cents a figure…

Good stuff!

Excellent work Steve. I really like the background middle eastern building they are standing against. Is that scratch built or store bought?

Thanks, guys. I should have mentioned the wall and building are free paper model downloads from Combat Storm:
