Chances are this is going to get glommed onto the current 3D movie bandwagon. Its also highly likely that the only thing that the movie will have in common with the game is the licensed use of the word Ultramarine. I'd love to proven wrong on this point, but I doubt I will. Look to see who is starring in SyFy original "movies" to find your cast. Dave |

No way will morph do 40K, it will be his white brother whose name eludes me. |
Brandlin | 11 Feb 2010 7:24 a.m. PST |
since tony hart died morph has found work hard to come by – he'll even stoop this low
although i think his RADA training will be a little wasted on this tosh. (Morphs brother was Chaz) |

You'd better stick with your choices, or you're going to get busted for re-casting. ;) |

Yeah, I highly doubt GW will make a movie ala style of Avatar. If we're ucky, GW wont use still animation (kinda like the old Spiderman cartoons of the seventies). Remember, this flick will be straight to video, not really holding out for "cutting edge" animation/production values. |

Yeah, I highly doubt GW will make a movie ala style of Avatar Ahh but there are plenty of cheaper knock-off technologies coming to the fore to allow lots of 3D drek to make it to the big screen. Dave |

A 40k movie? Sounds cool, too bad tickets will be $30 USD and remakes will come out every 3-5 years making the previous film irrelevant

Seriously --- IG General : Kurt Russel Adaptus Mechanus : Hugo Weaving SM: Jason Statham & Sean Pertwee Sister of Battle: Andrea Parker ( oh hells yes
She would be perfect!!!! imdb.com/name/nm0662042 ) BTW
The latest White Dwarf (361) mentions that it will be coming to DVD. I find it interesting that there was no mention of a theatrical release. Probably no 3-D then. And straight to home vid
Not so seriously --- For the emperor, Ian McDiarmid
Oh, Wait. He already did the emperor. Oops. For the elves: Pee Wee Herman For the Marines

ohhh .. in that case we are looking at the marquee star being someone like Lorenzo Lamas or Benjamin Bratt Dave |

The only one who could play a sister of battle is the one and only; Xena – Lucy Lawless. Yeah you know you want it. .. Has any one seen here in episode 2 of Sparticus yet. . Yeah baby thats what I'm talk'n about.. |

Orcs – Ving Thames Michael Clark Ducan (these two have real size and the voices) Sister's of Batlle – Hally Berry (can't get enough of her since swordfish) Marines – Tom Berenger (like he looked in platoon) Shack O'neil ( not to speak, but for huge size) Willem Defoe – for any devious/slimey character Doc |

Wonder if it will be a sequel to their previous 40K movie Inquisitor. YouTube link "and remakes will come out every 3-5 years making the previous film irrelevant" Star Wars already has that down. |
Battle Phlox | 11 Feb 2010 1:17 p.m. PST |
You could have Chuck Norris play the Emperor, which means he is just playing himself. That aside, playing a corpse in tank of water is about equal to his acting abilities. ;) *ducks for cover* |

IG Commissar: Nathan Lane Now THAT would be interesting! LOL Just a reminder everyone: In reality, the movie budget will most likely be very low, and special effects will take up most of it, so don't count on getting some of the bigger name actors with what is left
. :p |

Given the inspiration for a lot of the Ultramarines look, I'd suggest Kevin McKidd and Ray Stevenson as a Tactical squad sergeant and trooper. |
Space Aardvark | 12 Feb 2010 7:04 a.m. PST |
I think Sean Pertwee would be a very good Space Marine, even if he is getting a bit older now. When I saw him in Event Horizon sans space helmet, I thought he'd be perfect! |

.:) Frankly, I think the whole thing will be unknowns – But considering the casts in PC games FMV these days, that might not be entirely true. |
