I hadn't seen this up on TMP so…
These greens were posted to Steve Deans forum by Paul Hicks.

They look very nice, as usual great stuff from Paul Hicks.

Interesting.
Pity they are metal. As in theory anyone who builds a British division, unless its the 1st Div. needs 4 or 5 battalions of Portuguese.

Still, theyare lovely looking figures and about the only nice looking ones compatible with my Victrix/Foundry/Perry armies.

Will they be in metal? I know their Cacadores are, but were these announced as metals too? Oh, and excellent sculpting again. Dean

Paul Hicks only sculpts Victrix's metal figures so I would guess that these are metals too.

Well done Paul!!

Nice. They might mix with the Victrix plastics, though.

As with the cacadores, it's a shame for me that these are in metal. Metal is not an absolute barrier for me, but I generally prefer plastic. Also, the sooner someone releases something other than British and French, the sooner plastic will shrug off the "fad" status some give it at the moment.

Field Marshal09 Feb 2010 2:37 p.m. PST

Excellent!…i have been waiting for these to match my British divisions…the British 2nd division in 1811 was only British units…but all my other divisions are awaiting their Portuguese Brigade.

Don't get me wrong I am definately going to by these… packs of 8 right?

Just a plastic set would have been more useful.

I am happy with plastic Brits/French… would love some plastic Austrians though.

We have started work on Austrians at long last. Should have some photos to show in the next few days. The box will contain 60 figures, and we will be producing Grenadiers and Corsican head variants in one box, and helmets and shakos in another box. Hungarians will follow after these. Can't give a date for their release as yet.

Great Portuguese figs by Hicksey. I hope Victrix turn him loose on the metal components of their forthcoming Austrians. That'd be a sight to see.

Very nice but I'm with Edwulf. A plastic set would have been great if, like me, one would need loads of figs to build the Portuguese Division or Gen. Silveira's army against Soult in 1809 or even to build units for the campaigns in Uruguay or the Portuguese Civil War. I would love to see how they look side-by-side with Perry Mins figures as I plan to use them for the Peninsula and the PCW.

I think they look fantastic….And I've won a little bet with myself…having bought more metal Austrians recently than you can shake a stick at, I just KNEW someone would release them in plastic…hey-ho…I'm not complaining (honest)
