Hi there! I am looking to make some fast cash, and on my list of "stuff that I own but don't want" is a painted GW Beastmen force, from the last iteration of plastic and metal models. I have no idea how much this is worth or what is a reasonable asking price for it. Any help would be appreciated. I have: 1 Beastman hero (converted plastic, very nice) 24 Gors (all plastic, all armed with two hand weapons, including 2 standard bearers and 2 musicians, and any number of models which would make nice unit champions. Many have chaos mutations as well.) 16 Ungors (all plastic, all armed with spear, no shields, and many have chaos mutations as well.) 10 Chaos Warhounds (all metal, 5 actual warhounds, 2 Fleshounds of Khorne [1988 version], 2 Kroothounds, and a Dark Eldar Warpbeast) 2 Chaos Spawn, (both custom conversions from "Inquisitor" figures) 6 Chaos Furies (Dark Elf Harpies [the pretty ones] painted to match the army.) 25 Warriors Of Chaos (24 plastic, all armed with swords and shields, including a standard bearer and musician, and the limited edition Games Day "Archaon On Foot" metal model as the unit champion.) Thank you! |

Have you tried asking here, at the Herdstone? link |

If it is all painted to a reasonable level I'd think you could get probably $800-1000. It will depend on how well painted it is, if it is not well painted you might get half that or less. |

I'll give you a nickle, plus postage for the whole lot. Of course, that is per pound. |

Always hard to know. Check eBay for completed items. Also you might watch this one, which is approximately the same size. auction |

@Skeptic: thank you for the link, I have no idea where to even ask around about this. @Pictors: they aren't Golden Daemon standard, but they are pretty nice. I will try to post some pictures soon. @mweaver: thank you for the auction to compare to, mine are painted nicer and consistently based lol! |

@impala: You're welcome. You may want to start by asking on this sub-forum: link |

If they are pretty nice then they should be worth about $8-10 a fig. If you want to move them more quickly then you will need to charge less, of course, but it isn't unreasonable that you could get that. |

You also have the Warriors of Chaos in there, which aren't available in a Beasts of Chaos army any more. I'm also pretty sure the Chaos Furies are no longer available in that army. You'll need to sell them seperately to get the best deal as someone won't want those if they are looking to just get Beasts of Chaos. Realistically I'd say you can get between $300 USD and $400 USD for the Beastmen Stuff, including the two Chaos Spawn. For the Furies you could get up to $50 USD dollars. For the Chaos Warriors you could get get upwards of $150. USD That's not saying you will mind you, sometimes the market is a fickle place. As Pictors Studio said, if they are painted very well, you could get more. It all depends on the market. Right now could be a good time to sell them at a higher price, seeing how the new army book was just released last week and people will be looking to get an army together quickly. |

I've become quite pessimistic about eBay lately, I had a pro-painted space marine terminator champion that I won at an indie tournament that I sold for a whopping $9.99, the model was worth that alone unpainted. I would think that what Delthos quoted you is probably much closer to reality or less. I can remember selling small 40K armies on eBay for $600 USD to $700 USD back in 2003 & 2004 but nothing like that since. I can remember that the wargaming miniatures category on eBay having 125K plus listings, today it stays between 20K & 35k. Never tried to sell on Bartertown but have bought from there. Some luck selling here on TMP. Maybe the economy will pick back up and the heyday can return. |

My rule of thumb for selling wargamer standard painted miniatures is to try to get twice the amount of the original retail price of the miniatures if I can. People on eBay are looking for deals, so only sell if you just want to rid yourself of them, regardless of the final price. Making "big money" off of eBay sales of miniatures isn't going to happen IMHO. |

Yeah, my quotes weren't based on ebay. Ebay is a terrible place to sell figs. |
