I have several rules systems that say base like Johnny Reb. so I have figured out all but skirmishers, what is the basing for them?

Also is Johnny Reb still available? My FLGS can not seem to get it.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

WarWeb thinks they have a copy of Johnny Reb 3-

You might email them to be sure.

As for skirmishers-no difference in basing, you just seperate the bases-between 1 and 2 base widths as I recall. I don't have my copy of the Rules with me-Scott or Norris will probably be along in a moment to correct me if I'm wrong.

4 figure stands are 7/8" wide, 3 figure stands are 3/4" wide, and 2 figure stands are 5/8" wide. Depth is not important, whatever works best so your figures don't fall over.

Eric,

I believe you can order copies from Battlefield Terrain Concepts. Email Doug Kline at the following address and ask if he still has copies.

Hope this helps,

Bill.

I have heard rumor the JR4 is in the works, but hopefully Mr. Kline will chime in and confirm or deny this.

You can either place an entire regiment in skirmish line,
with the stands at least one inch and not more than 2 inches
apart. If using the regimental shirmish rule, you can place
one stand in front of the regiment to act as skirmishers. There is no provision for basing skirmishers seperately, unless a house rule is used.
Last I heard there will be no JR 4, but perhaps a rewritten
JRIII,with basicially clarifications. If so, this will be in the distant future, according to my information.
