Just got two Topgun 15mm Heavy Grav Tanks (won on ebay from Topgun last week!) Shipping was swift and well packaged (Kudos Topgun!) They are interesting designs and I picked them up to act as Armor for my Khurasan Felid troops. Casting Quality: Nice clean Gray Resin. There was one medium sized pit on the underside of one of the tanks. The Sensor probe and Gun are cast metal. The Gun barrel is pretty uninspired. There are grooves on the top and bottom of the barrel that are inconsistently cut into the barrel. It looks like they were roughly cut into place with a sculpting tool on the original the mold was taken from. I like the circular "reactive armor" plates on the hull. I am treating them as "Defensive Field Emitters". My Felid tanks use energy Shields instead of Armor :-) I like the little mounting nubs to base them on. Interesting widget. I'll take a pic once they are mounted. Overall I like them quite a bit, even if I am a bit disenchanted with the gun barrels. They are nice and big and they look alien, when compared with my GZG, Rebelmini, and Critical Mass armor. |

I'll see if I can do a side-by side pic during assembly. |

See the following links, for some comparison pics of our Grav Tanks, side by side with one another, shown from above: picture and several with a couple of GZG Tanks next to them as well: picture and picture As you can see, they compare very favorably, size-wise, with one another. Ours have a slightly lower profile, and are a bit wider, since they need to be streamlined to enter the atmosphere of a planet from orbit, on their own at Mach 3, and because they have heavier flank armor than many Grav Tanks, in order to be more survivable, in battle. Note, you can see other angles of our tanks, by looking at the additional photos in the album, e.g. profile shots of many of our tanks. I hope that helps. Sincerely,

I got my turrets and Hulls drilled last night. Am using a 3/32 Brass tube cut at 1/3rd inch as a rotation point (The turret and hull are smooth and require the addition of either a pivot or magnet if you do not want to glue it in place) Instead of mounting the Barrels that come with the tank, I am mounting the extras in my Critical Mass Grav tanks which are on the way. (I am using the wide, flat Railgun barrel from the CMG tanks for the Topgun tanks.) |

I would like to reiterate my request to see these available in 6mm. They are wonderful, unique designs.
but I don't have any use for 15mm. |
