La Petite Guerre rules and my 54mm F&I collection by MPC et al.

Slideshow version of my photobucket album.
Enjoy.
The British won and took the portage camp.
The rules were fun. I am interested in playtesting them some more as is before making any attempts at modification.
The only concern after only one playtest and a learning event at that is – the turn sequence. I may look into making a chit per unit draw for turn sequence.

Well thats looks like a very well done toy soldier game from about 1969 or so! That looks like fun, nice photos too!!

Nice looking game! I have been trying to figure out what figs to use for 54mm FIW recently. Are the MPC figs too small to fit with regular 54mm figs like Armies in Plastic or Barzo, etc.?

Thanks,

John

John,
The MPC figures are much smaller and have a thinner sculpt than Armies in Plastic. I recently got the new Eastern Woodland Indians and some other current releases and probably will not mix the figures in the same scenario.

That being the case my F&I collection contains figures I have had since 1969 when I was eight years old. I played with these figures on my grandmother's living room floor. Years later she gave me a coffee can full of the figures when I was a wargamer. I kept them and had a chance to add to the MPC set with some additional figures.

I would not recommend MPC as first line French and Indian choices but for me the collection is a little more than that so I paint them and keep them.

cheers,
Ken

23 New pictures from Game number two of La Petite Guerre.
See the 54mm stockade fort.
Thrill to the exploits of Captain Morris onboard the Notty Dolphin – a F&I privateer.
Run through the woods with your native brethren.
See the cannons roar as the assault on the fort commences.
