Had a great time at the Williamsburg Muster. I did have to stay over nigth due to the snow
but that allowed me to hang out and talk to my pals a liitle longer. My EW Russia FoW game went well. Enjoyed looking at the other game boards, spent some money with a few vendors and met some old and new friends. BIG thanks goes out to guys who played in our Battle Barn sponsored games. OVERALL I give the ODMS crew a A+ for the event!!! Look forward to next year! Ron |

Thanks Ron! Last year we had 270+ attendees. This year as a result of the snow about 200. Not bad considering! The great thing is all our vendors save one (it wasn't the snow, it was the flu), for a total of 18 vendors, showed up. I want to thank all the folks who ran games especially the vendors and clubs like Battle Barn, SMP, TSS, Cape Fear, MAPHOGS, AoCM, Tang, et al for running multiple games. We couldn't hold this con with out all of you. Rob from Eureka miniatures mentioned the big difference between this year and last year was that all of the games were well attended. ODMS members even added games. One of the things I noticed about this years games was the terrain boards were fantastic especially, the Battle Barn's Mons board, Cliff Creech's (ODMS) Pacific Island board, SMP's Gallipoli board, both of Ed Mohrmann's boards, Cotton Jim's (ODMS) Pegasus Bridge, and Lee's Grand attack at G'burg game. If I missed any one I'm sorry, but all the games looked great!!!! Had a fantastic time and I believe the attendees did as well!!! Justin Williamsburg Muster secretary |

Thanks to the ODMS, attendees and our customers. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing so many friends, playing in some good games and enjoying the weather. Hopefully the weather will be better next year. The location and show has great possibilities. Oh and Cotton Jim, IBTH! Eat your heart out! |

Doug, How long did it take you to get home? I'd also like to know how long our northern attendees took to get home, like Andy from SMP and Jakob from Silver Eagle. I hope every thing went well! And the staff thanks you for all your comments now and during the con. Justin |

What a great show! It was so good to see old friends. We were amazed at the fantasic terrain boards, in particular the Gettysburg game. We look forward to Williamsburg Muster 2011! |

Justin: It only took us about 4 hours. All roads were fine and VDOT did a very good job this time around. We left around 11:30 and the sun had done a lot to help the roads. DK |

From the Con Director - Williamsburg Muster was a totally enjoyable time. I understand that a large number of our gamers decided to take the wiser course of action (in what was certainly one of the bigger winter storms in years), and stay home, but we will certainly welcome them back for next year! For those of us who were in Williamsburg for the 2010 Muster – we had a great time! Barring 1 illness, all of our vendors were there, and the majority of our events went out off without a hitch! Attendance was light, but at all times Friday evening and Saturday, there were games all over our gaming ballrooms, and even our Flames of War tournament went off. Although Warhammer Ancients and the other Warhammer events were cancelled (due to the referee staff being weather-bound), there were still a few Ancients and Fantasy Battle games played. We had a great time, and are looking forward to next year. Keep an eye on the ODMS website for pictures and more AARs about specific games from the event. Thanks, Chuck Convention Director Williamsburg Muster 2010 |

Unfortunately the snow prevented me from attending at the last minute, I had been looking forward to it for weeks. Even worse is the hotel charging me the full tab for having to cancel! Maybe next year. ;-D |

Sorry I missed it Chuck, but I just couldn't see fighting my way from Hanover County through the snow. Hopefully next year! "the Dufmeister" |

Just got back safely to Alabama from the show. Finally a convention site hotel with GREAT rates. More groups should try to find such values. |

Thanks Rudy! As Chuck said, we had 19 vendors that wanted to attend and 18 showed. The 19th was ill with the flu. Neither rain, nor snow
. man! There also were also 200 people that attended. Justin |

We had a horrible drive home to MD, but a great time at the show. The roads got terrible from Woodbridge northward. Thanks to the 200 folks who managed to attend and make the convention a success for us. |

We had fewer attendees this year than last for the obvious reason of the weather. But Rob from Eureka Miniatures, who was at the first Muster in 2009 and this years Muster mentioned a difference. The games that were played and there were many of them were well attended. In 2009, we had games but no gamers even though we had more attendees. This year we had fewer attendees, just a few less games, and almost all games were well attended. I only know of two games that were set up and there were no players. One of these GMs didn't care though as they entered another game as a player. I'll tell you one thing I do like though is the fact that the vendors can play games as their stands arein the main gaming room. Justin Muster secretary |

Our trip back to maryland wasnt bad. 95 got bad at Quantico, couldnt get over 5 mph out there, so we bailed at Woodbridge and took Rte 1 the rest of the way to the Woodrow, was able to do about 35 mph that way. Easy drive all in all, about 1.5 hours longer than normal for the time we spent on 95. Took abotu 2 hours to shovel the drive to park the trailer and car, but I woul dhave had to do that anyway. A weekend drinking beer and playing games is better than a weekend at home, even if I didnt pull a, IBTH!!! |

Thanks to the Williamsburg Muster Staff for another great show. I had a great time demoing Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943, our new WWII tactical card game, as well as games in the Conflict of Heroes series on behalf of Academy Games. If you were one of the many gamers at the show who supported us through preorders or purchases, thank you very much! Looking forward to WM 2011! Glad all you folks from N of W'burg and W of Richmond made it home safely. Indeed, VDOT did a GREAT job on the roads ! I left Sunday 'bout 15:00, and went via Va 5 back through Charles City, Hopewell and Petersburg to I-95 then I-85. ALL roads were beautifully clear, no ice, no wet. The scenery in the sunshine was gorgeous, all that lacy snow on the trees and in the fields, but NOT on the roadway. Thanks to all of you who played in my games and helped in the on-going process of rule-tweaking. For the ACW, we'll do the Peach Orchard (Gettysburg) next year, and another Napoleonic as well, maybe with some cavalry next time. Made it home in the usual 3 hours, just in time for the Super Bowl ! |

We were glad you came up Ed. For those who don't know Ed's game and a miniatures ironclad game from the TANG (Tidewater Area Naval Gamers) closed the show for us on Sunday. I think the TANG group stayed until 4 PM. Again thanks to all the GMs and gamers who came to the second annual Williamsburg Muster. Justin Muster Secretary |

Chuck; Justin; Staff of the Williamsburg Muster; Staff of the Holiday Inn Patriot and Participating Vendors.Congratulations on another great convention. We had a blast this year despite the weather. We purchased precisely enough lead to get us around the Washington Beltway. It felt like we were in a episode of Ice Road Truckers. Thanks for the Invite, allowing us to run a few games and have some laughs with our friends. We are looking forward to next year's 65 degree weather!-MAPHOGS |

Thanks for coming down! The interesting thing about our convention is the amount of states our gamers come from for our event. This year we had Flag Dude and Rudy from Alabama, Brian Compton from Tampa Bay, Mike Bates from Illinois, Jakob from Silver Eagle from Connecticut (I believe), Rob Walters from Massachusetts, all those folks from Jersey and Pennsylvania. This is all for a small to medium sized event. We had about 270+ attendees in 2009 without snow and about 200 attendees with snow. Imagine how many folks would have attended if the weather had been better. Again that's to all our attendees. Tomorrow night we debrief for next year and for a possible summer con. Summer con? I'm there. Snow at home will keep me away but summer in Williamsburg is fun for the family. I really hope I can make next year's Muster. I'm glad there were still a goodly number of attendees. However, as we lost power for 19 hours and there was so much snow I had to stay home to take care of my family. |

On behalf of our Convention Director and Staff I would like to thank all of our Dealers and attendees, who braved the fury of Mother Nature, and made this year's Williamsburg Muster another success!! Things did look a little glum when the Friday morning rain changed to blinding snow several hours earlier then forecasted, but we weathered the storm together and enjoyed a great weekend of gaming, spending, and more gaming. For those of you who decided to stay at home we're grateful you are safe, and with your families where you should be. We know you'll be ready and able to make it down to The Muster in 2011 when the weather should be more seasonable!! We missed you to be sure, but we're glad you made the better choice, and look forward to seeing each of you next year!! Those of you who did join us we are very glad to hear you made it back home safely!! In the mean time, if you can't wait another year, we formally announced tonight the addition of a second convention we will host this coming August! Watch for the forthcoming details on the ODMS Web Site, and further announcements right here on good ol' TMP!! Thank you all very much again for a great weekend!!
