Has anyone played these rules? What are they like?
You are supposed to be able to play with as few as two models.

Thanks.

Dave

Two models? What's the fun in that?

Two Models? God and Lucifer?

I read here on TMP somewhere that they suffered from bad writing, editing, and logic like some of the older rules in the line. I have a similar project in mind and will probably be using Supersystem or Shockforce.

Horrible, horrible writing and editing. Avoid at all costs!

After seeing the fight scene in Legion I thought it would be interesting angels vs demons as a skirmish game.

Plus Reaper makes some decent models.

Agree with the others. I read through these once, and they're w=very poorly written. I do like (and own) some of the miniatures, though.

As the others have said, great idea, wonderful miniatures BUT god awful rule production. Be prepared to either re-edit the rules yourself to get a usable set from them, or just extract the specific model/class related stuff and add it to a better set of game rules.

Rules are actually a step up from previous offerings…Gladiator Wars in particular reads like the writer's pet chimp arranged the pages after pitching them during a tantrum. The game is playable. Once you run through a few times and make the obvious adjustments it all makes sense; however, it's still not a great game, and can become stale very quickly. SuperSystem lends itself very well to a Lucifer Wars style game and is what I prefer to use.

Since Lucifer's War was just a shoddy re-write of Supersystem (unfortunately without Scott Pyle being involved) that makes complete sense that S2 works better.

I guess it must just be me who thinks the miniatures are really poor as well as the rules. I was very disappointed when I received mine.

Parmenion, I was looking at the figs and think most of the heads could have been redone.

I do like the Bael figure from Anima Tactics.

@Parmenion: There was another topic on the miniatures a couple of months ago. I have a few of the Lucifer Wars figures, but I use mostly Reaper Demon figures (a few Rafm figures too) and my own sculpts/castings.
