I maanged to break a resin building into three pieces while trying to clean excess resin out of a window. I've tried gluing it with Loctite, but no matter how long I hold the parts it still does not bond.

Should I try Zap-A-Gap or something else?

See if you can hold the peices together, and use accelerator to insta-cure the superglue.

I'll have to pick up some accelerator. I have tried holding the pieces for a minute of more and still no bond.

Your problem is that these glues need air to dry and bond.

A large surface area can be a problem for glues of this nature as the glue will only dry/set along the edges.

Products like liquid nails will bond without air. You may want to try that.

Best ? resin with a fast acting hardener.

Best you can probably manage two part epoxy (Araldite or similar) with super glue doted in places to hold it while the epoxy does its thing

Make sure surface is clean. Helps to scratch the surfaces to increase bonding surface area. Use two-part epoxy.

Epoxy and pin where you can

Try some Araldite two part epoxy as mentioned earlier.May need masking tape or rubber bands to hold in place until it goes off.

Thanks for the suggestions. The building is a 15mm house with lift off roof. The walls are fairly narrow, but I think I can pin them. Scoring the surface is a good idea, thanks.

UHU has always worked for me. No pinning necessary.

Ming's right -- I forgot to add pinning.

2 part expoxy is ideal for resin."Scratch" with a sharp knife tip or sand slightly to key surfaces for a stronger bond.Wilkinsons sell two part expoxy adhesive quite cheaply.

Get some J-B Weld – they have some of the best adhesives and they work on virtually everything – including resin. Also, the zap-a-gap with accelerator will work as a quick set, but it may or may not hold.
