I recently took delivery of Lardies Kriegspiel book, maps and CDs (the lot!) by a round about route – had them delivered to my friend's address in the UK and then picked up with a delivery of figures (only 80KG of elite miniatures this time ;-) I am very impressed. The rule book is really pretty. Simple painted blocks look very attractive, especially on the wonderful maps which the lardies have prepared. It is well worth buying the rule book for general wargaming interest. I recognised many of the mechanisms that had been translated into "In The Grand Manner" by Peter Guilder. A big thumbs up from me. Neil reinforcementsbypost.com |

I also have the Kriegsspiel rules, maps, and even had some blocks made up by an amazing company: link I'm looking forward to playing them as well, but have yet to find anyone interested in the Denver area. I hope you have more interest in Bangladesh! Forest |

Thanks for the link Forest. I will order some of those as an interim measure. I am going to make blocks in porcelain, just out of historical interest as this was what was used for the original set. We will have to convert people over to using Kriegspiel. I know a couple of staff at the Bangladesh military academy. I will poke them and see if we can have a game. BTW, are the A3 maps actually A3 including the border region or just the map area. I am going to laminate mine before use. |

The A3 maps are A3 when including the border, the actual size of the maps are closer to 11"x14" (~28cm x ~35.5cm). At least that's how it is with the Meckel Map. Forest |

I have never seen a Kriegspiel display game at a wargames show (convention). With the pretty blocks from Photon Cutter, and Lardies excellent maps, we could get more gamers interested. |

I was considering that myself. Perhaps at Historicon this year. The blocks from Photon Cutter are the best out there in my opinion. Let him know I recommended him. Forest |

I got the rules but nothing else, mainly to have for historical purposes. |

I have played/umpired Kriegsspiel and it is a blast from the past. Great stuff!!! |

I have the rules and the first set of maps. Beautiful stuff! I played the "intro to Kriegspiel" that the Lardies ran at Salute and I've attended an all-day game with the boys in Hemel Hempstead ( kriegsspiel.org.uk ) and I will return to play with them when I get the chance. Kriegspiel is brilliant fun. |

I have the rules, first map and the Waterloo map. Have not gotten to run a game and don't see a chance soon. |

I will try a game at Hemel Hempstead when I get the chance. Any of you who haven't already done so (including me) could post an introduction (including location) on the general section of the kriegsspiel.org.uk forum. At least that will give us some chance of meeting up with local(ish) players. |
