Some Pontoonier British infantry I painted for a friend.

Sorry chaps. Slip of the mouse. these have nothing to do with the 18th century.

Lucky you, I sent Pontoonier a check for some figures in July 2009 and have never heard a peep from the company. I have left about 4 messages on his answering machine and he won't call me back.

Lucky you've managed to get hold of some figures,, as there appears to be no website, and the owner of the company is more elusive than the Scarlet Pimpernel!!

Can't understand why, when he has such a great range.

AFAIK, its the same bloke behind the sadly defunct Mongrel Minatures range, so I guess that explains everything.

Nice painting BTW

Sadly the figures aren't mine, but a friend who manages to get to more of the American shows than I do. he only buys them when he's at the show so no risky mail order.

I can only think the fellow just wanted to make the figures for himself and once he's paid for the sculpting he loses interest in selling more. It's pretty easy these days to set up a webstore and then spend an evening here and there at the spin caster filling orders.

Unless he's got little kids… those keep your hands full pretty easily.

Nice painting. Doesn't RAFM carry similar uniformed figures in their Riel Rebellion (sp) line? Canadian militia I think.

Jamesonsafari07 Feb 2010 3:50 p.m. PST

Yes they do. Sculpts aren't as nice but MUCH easier to get!

They are very nice figures-I've only bought them at Historicon

Indeed they do. Brit infantry in home service helmets, glengerrys and overseas helmets.

(And, yes, you did spell "Riel" correctly.)
