I've built a separate version of the harpoon cannon from PHP-13. Instead of it being the sole possession of the Gyro Raiders, this would allow others to use it; regular sea-going pirates, whalers, used car repo men etc. It would come equipped with a motorized winch. There would likely be two or three in the pack. I'm not sure if demand would justify releasing this model so any opinions of the esteemed members of this discussion list would be welcome. Please forgive the quality of the scan, it was done quickly on my flat-bed scanner/printer. You can find the image in the Pulp Figures ‘What's New' section. link Bob Murch pulpfigures.com |

They would be of no use to me but perhaps a limited run may find takers. |

I'd get a couple, but how to package? I think I would cut off the harpoon, to make a stubby cannon for a ship. Keep a a harpoon version too. I do already have two with the Gyros. One of my fond rememberences of childhood is selling newspapers for scrap and using the money to by 8mm cartoons. One of my favorite was Mickey Dizzy Pilot. Mickey Mouse was a mail pilot being chased by Black Bart who had a clever weapon swivel on the front of his plane. It started out as machine gun but as he got closer to Mickey, he swiveled it to be a harpoon gun, just like the one Bob has made. He shot it and caught Mickey in the tail of his plane and reeled it in. I have always wanted a harpoon gun like to mount on a plane :) |

'Mickey Mouse was a mail pilot being chased by Black Bart' Some seem to think a sky pirate with a harpoon gun is a silly notion. Mickey and I beg to differ. Thanks Bob! Youtube has the cartoon you mentioned. Part of my Saturday evening was spent watching a half dozen of those B&W classics. Bob pulpfigures.com |

I think it's one of those pieces which would find a wealth of uses once folk knew about it. |
