So I'm looking for som specific minis and I'm so far not finding anything I really like.

1 – I need a mad scientist There's a few out there I'm just trying to find the most characterful one. Reaper has the Dr. L T Froschmeister mini (and since I know the guy it's named after it makes it more appealing) but I wanted more than one.

2 – I need a 'Polly Perkins' type from Sky Captain. A female photographer in similar period dress.

I also need to scratch build a nice gyrocopter and I'm wondering if there are any pulp pictures of one?

Have you considered Brigade Games' pulp lines for these?:

Can't vouch for this dealer, but wouldn't a model be MUCH easier?

Brigade Games makes two 'not'-Polly Perkins figures.
One with a camera

And one with a note pad.

Nicola Tesla is my favourite real life "mad" scientist. Black Army makes this fig in their Champions range:

Tesla was cool!

I like the not polly perkins from brigade games, may have to order her in both incarnations. The scientists look sort of rough, not wuite mad enough for my tastes!

Flintloque, nice catch on those models. Problem is, I want to build a larger gyrocopter that carries more than 2 or 3 people at a time. Definitely good pictures that have given me some solid ideas though.

The 1920's Pitcairn PCA-2 Autogyro – 1/48 Williams Kit usually shows up with regularity on eBay. Though there are 2 different kits: the older kit in the white box with one model, and the newer kit in the green box with two complete models and extra decals.

Here is the book for anyone making own Autogyros

I recall another book here, on Autogyro of Third Reich.

Jeff Valent makes a nice Auto gyro, that can fit 2 people.

I used a smaller pilot and left off the "front hood" -- added a figure with bombs, sitting on the front edge. More conversion would allow more figs added.
