As an introduction:
Naval '44 is my version of the Memoir '44 game system converted to a naval version. Activation is by action cards which determine a number ships, squadrons or types to activate. Each player plays one action card for his turn. When activated, a ship may move and fire. Firing is done by specialized dice for Heavy, light and torpedo type weapons. Damage is Heavy, light or double light. Number and type of dice rolled are specified on each ships data card and vary according to range. Naval '44 is now in Beta for the introductory game, which this scenario uses.

The narrative and pictorial record of the game are available in our club newsletter and shows both a photograph of the board as well as an abstracted diagram and listing of events for each turn.
