Need some advice. I bought a company of T34/m1941's (Battlefront). Now I'm all for realism in miniatures, but I wasn't excited with the modeling of T34 breakdown rates. Of the 10 tanks, I'm missing 2 gun barrels and 1 bow machine gun. Any suggestions about how I might replace them?

Contact the store where you purchased them?

Follow these directions, Dan:

If the US Customer Service continues to work as well as it has so far already today, you should have your parts soon:

I was missing two gun bits – the left side of FlaK38's, and not only did they replace them fast, but they just sent me a new blister, so I got the two bits and "everything else" as a bonus!

Now I'm trying to figure out how to use plasticard for these 20mm AA gun's sides and get two more guns out of it…

As I have said before on this, a fantastic replacement system is just a bandaid over Bleeped textty quality control. Fixing the quality problem is in the end cheaper.

Oftentimes, corporate management perceives a fiscal benefit to certain strategies, when peons and underlings do not.

fixing the root cause may mean moving their production and packaging out of Malaysia.

Hiring Australian/New Zealand/American reasonably educated gamers to spin and pack lead vs. Malay women who really could care less….

Probably cheaper to keep sending out replacements.
(and I got two extra Bren carriers out of the policy so I'm happy)

Mmmm… one stated reason for moving production to Malaysia was the inability to fill positions with New Zealanders (a bigger one was government regulation). That may not say much for what they were willing to pay NZ staff. But it would seem reasonable to assume that production costs, including personnel, are lower in Malaysia. grin

To be fair this was an issue long before they moved to Malaysia….

I think the Malay women probably couldn't care less.

My first option would be to return them to the store to see if they'll replace the missing parts with parts from another box on the spot. If so, that's quicker than contacting Battlefront.

Oh I bet if we asked them, they probably could care less! :^D

"To be fair this was an issue long before they moved to Malaysia…."

Very true. But perhaps the cost savings of the move allowed them room to continue (what some consider) an inefficient and expensive practice. grin

Ah, I see; you mean that the current Malaysian workforce is actually highly motivated to reduce or eliminate such packing mistakes in future? That is good news.

Andrew – for some reason Americans and presumably Canadians too have an odd usage of the phrase, and "could care less" is what they usually say, even when logical analysis makes it plainly evident that the British "couldn't care less" is the correct term….

Doesn't everyone…? Reminds me of this summer's cricket, with the England fans singing to the Aussies "God save YOUR gracious queen…."

Well, THIS American has been using "couldn't care less" for most of my life. I find "could care less" to be very odd, even FOREIGN! I have always thought that that was British usage. So, there.

When management cares about quality control, educates the workers, institutes systems to increase quality, and rewards the workers for an increase in quality, they will get results. When they don't care, this is what you get. You get an extra pack with more of the same.
I complained about some defective and miscast parts in the American 105mm howitzer pack. They sent me another pack with the same defects.
If I kept complaining, I would get a lot more artillerists, and some more guns I would have to repair myself.
