Before bowing to my rules collecting impulse
anyone seen or better still played the new offering yet? |

Got mine in the post yesterday. Found them online by accident. I've only had a quick look but a few things that stood out are. Lots of counters, no vehicle rules at all, no rules for A/T or infantry guns. The rules disscuss orders of battle but there aren't any in the book so I assume army list books are on the way. Points system is included though. These rules are aimed at infantry skirmish at platoon level (hence the lack of vehicle, heavy support weapons rules) in 28mm. I haven't deleved to deeply into the rules yet but at a quick skim they look pretty good. |

There are some sample pages from the rules you can download to look at here (bottom of the page) link |

I am looking forward to these
.. i've played their other rules sets a few times and rather like the mechanics and should transfer well (I am hoping) |

Bit odd having a picture of a vehicle on the cover if there's no vehicle rules? Otherwise, looking forward to any reviews, AAR's, etc. |

Sounds more like a work in progress. |

It depends on your turn length. One roll can be one shot or several. You don't want to roll for each shot of a MG though there should be some way to capture its high ROF. |

Sounds more like a work in progress. Not so much. It is a skirmish game concentrating on infantry action. Mark added lists for the Crusader Ancients rules. Likely you will see some lists for these rules soon. |

Not filling me with enthusiasm but thanks guys. |

They are going with a point based system, rather than lists from what I understand. They look interesting. I'm witing for the Armor book to arrive first, though. Hope those are good. I like my games to have chunkier armor rules

"Bit odd having a picture of a vehicle on the cover if there's no vehicle rules?" Not just one vehicle either, but a Panther and a Sherman clearly preparing to duke it out. |

Is it just me or does the logo seem very reminiscent of the FOW logo? |

Played my first game last night. Really enjoyed it, it looks like a lot of counters but you don't actually need that many (they have just supplied enough for a very big game) Some great new mechanics, only had a couple of questions (which I've emailed off) The vehicle rules ARE on the way, I think Mark said in PDF download format? (WWII without vehicles would be mad!) Army lists, well lets just say I'm applying pressure ;) overall very good. I'll try another game this weekend (Valentines day erm

Did Mark give any idea how soon we would see the Vehicle rules? |

Not in an "official, here is the new book" kinda way. I mean he does have a working copy, it's just not at the publishing stage yet? Sorry, that's not very useful is it? Let's just say from my perpsective, I'm very positive about it. erm
glad to be of help ;) |

There was an answer on the old Crusader Yahoo Group and on the new Crusader Forum. Thanks all! |
