I'm looking to acquire some of the old SDD Austin 7 castings for use as civilian vehicles in early WWII games. Anybody any going spare? or know of a source for 15mm 30's or 40's civvy vehicles (other than QRF)

Try searching for "WIKING HO" on EBAY. This is a German supplier of model railroad vehicles. Many of them are classics, some even military. Though they are supposedly HO scale or 1/87, they tend to the small side and I use the period Citroens, Mercedes cars and trucks with my 15mm troops.

You should search carefully. Some are listed for as much as $15 USD per vehicle but I have never paid over $5.99 USD plus shipping.

They are plastic so treat them gently.

Peter pig has a couple in the WWII French range. I've got the truck and it's quite good.

Get down to Gateshead Gaming – you are bound to bag a few bargains.

Old Glory 15s has a command car in the WWII US line, but it is only a windowless body and wheels, like the old, cheap die casts, rather than a nice full cast. Still, doesn't look bad. I painted two in black and dark blue to look like civilian vehicles.

I'm looking for a suitable heavy truck without a canvas that I can use to show evacuees for a FoW objective. Any suggestions for something that would work for mainland-Europe?
