They look nice indeed, painted to just the right level of detail for 12mm! Going to put playing card suites on the turrets? (But as far as tanks on bases
.hmmmm) |

Very nice. We can never have too many French for early war. |

But as far as tanks on bases
.hmmmm) Each to their own. I base all my vehicles in many different scales because a) I like to make scenic bases. b) they don't look right to me if they aren't based. Nice work Jim. Do they need an opponent?. A lack of winter clothing seems to have postponed the invasion of Norway :) maybe a bit of 1940 France might be in order. Cheers Jon |

Nice, so what paints were you using? Defending la Belle France is calling to me in the form of Poilus. OK, OK, I admit, Char B-1bis are also on my plate of things to paint. |

Thanks I take the poiint about basing tanks as it can look a bit odd, although I think it looks even more odd if you put them without bases next to based infantry? Jon, if you wanted to do some 12mm early war Germans then I'm sure the French could be dusted off for some games.Or there's always the Fallschirmjager option which could cover both campaigns? I used GW and Foundry acrylics for the figures (can't remember which ones) and the tanks and guns were sprayed in Humbrol Grass Green as an undercoat before before being drybrushed and washed. |

The tanks on bases thing is very much personal preference. I'll be looking up your link again when I get around to painting up French in a few months or so. I'm considering doing a colonial (African) regiment, just to have a unit with black skin color as a change of pace
