Again, I despair of ever getting all the neat stuff I want from Khursan, Splintered Light, and Rebel. All of which is holding up my orders to GZG and Zombiesmith…

khurasanminiatures27 Jan 2010 12:21 p.m. PST

I should mention that the ion howitzer is shown in the picture sprued to the drone's rocketpack. You just remove it and then position it alongside any of the rocket boosters, as you think looks coolest.

Also, Americans may know the German wasp as the "yellowjacket."

Great, now I'll have to arm my marines (now known as Rilley's Raid-ers) with bug bombs and Black Flag chem sprayers.:) Just one more thing to add to the must have list.;)

CC, I think you just linked back to this same thread! Which makes the link an infinitely recursive loop that we can't break out of, oh sh------…..

Oh, I should probably mention, awesome minis! A very different take on bugs! I don't know if I could ever bring myself to buy any though- I am allergic to vespids (which Yellowjackets are a member of) and even looking at the pictures is sort of making my skin crawl! ;P

Dropship Horizon27 Jan 2010 3:05 p.m. PST

Master Chef has finally dragged me kicking and screaming into Mutants and Death Ray Guns – I think the Vespulids are perfect for these rules!

Those look like they will work with the ones Rod Campbell mentioned he was working on some months ago.

Who makes that website masthead dropship and armored troops?

The BOMAG Dropship is now made by Moonfleet: moonfleetminiatures.com

The armoured troops are my excellent Laserburn Imperial Troopers: link

ar, ye be welcome konkurur.

david mcbride, i don't know how wasps behave in the states, but here i've never seen them "work with" other insects. eat them or lay their eggs in them, quite. :->

Dragon Gunner27 Jan 2010 4:14 p.m. PST

Very Cool

khurasanminiatures27 Jan 2010 7:19 p.m. PST

Stay tuned to Dropship Horizon tomorrow for more on the Vespulid models.

No problem, I did get a chuckle when I clicked the link and I though that it had just kicked me back to the top of page- so I scroll down and clicked the link again. Had about 5 tabs opened before I realized what was going on!

Actually, probably in as little as 3-4 weeks, Leland. Mike has to cast them up and then ship them from Australia.

I'd like to get some painted up before I start selling them though, and that would take a few more weeks. But seeing them in all their yellowjackety fineness would really make them eyepopping!

Boromirandkermit27 Jan 2010 10:56 p.m. PST

FROM Australia????

No! Leave some here! I need them!!! :P

Grabula28 Jan 2010 6:53 a.m. PST

lol, khurasan is killing my pocket book.

These guys look fantastic. As with you're other lines wil these guys get expanded with vehicles and so on?

HOwever, I'm forved to hold any Vespulid orders "hostage" until I can place my first couple of orca orders :D

khurasanminiatures28 Jan 2010 7:08 a.m. PST

Well grab the orcas went off to the casters as soon as I got them, but turnaround is out of my hands now.

OTOH the vespulid castings should be in my hands in a few weeks!

Grabula28 Jan 2010 11:36 a.m. PST

fantastic!

Good stuff all of it, keep it up!

khurasanminiatures28 Jan 2010 11:59 a.m. PST

Mark has just updated Dropship Horizon to include a picture of a Vespulid warrior next to a corporate marine soldier. And of course the drone is a lot bigger! grin

the evil morlab29 Jan 2010 8:18 a.m. PST

i wonder … vespulids are wasps and wasps eat bugs. space demons are bugs. would vespulids eat space demons? ;->
