Shop is in the South of England, Poole, Dorset and specialises in old model kits.

The guy who runs it is so funny, makes Basil Fawlty look caring. Anyone else experienced his rage?

Nope.
But driven past it loads of times.
Its one of those places i always say "ill have to pop in there" to see what they got, but sadly never do.
Curiosity on the other hand, may indeed draw me to the shop, just for the experience.

I was in the shop once when he was having a blazing row with his wife! He's not a very pleasant character! Some great stuff in there though.

i went in there about 18 months ago, what a t**t, i wanted to have a good look at what he had as i last saw him at a show back in the late 80's.
shame about his stock, spent more time reading the
'no mobile phones' signs than seeing what he had.
i did reluctantly buy a trumpeter kit, (ww2 german, still unmade).
he is the sort of shop keeper we seem to breed in some model shops in the uk, (and i have been in quite a few) not very helpfull, he is doing you a favour by opening the shop, customers dont buy enough, hard to compete with the internet, ect, ect!
all he kept telling me was that some property owner wanted his shop and flat to knock down and build something new on the site, and he was contemplating selling all of the stock to him, where he could bury it in the footings!
i dont think i will ever go in there again somehow,
he does put a lot of stuff on ebay, by the name of
'polarbearkitkat' or something similar.
no wonder some small shop keepers struggle with an attitude like that, i know at least 2 others who have got the same impression!

I've never been there, but I've been in many a model shop where the owner was clearly unhappy that other people had come into his hobby room and wanted to bother him by looking around.

There is a guy in Kidderminster who runs a model railway shop. (Not the model kit and RC shop, they are really nice), but the model railway guy? Nothing is ever too little trouble. You have hardly walked in through the door and the scowling begins.
Saying hello? Answering questions? Giving advice? Giving you the steam off his…. kettle?
You might get a grunt if its christmas.

The guy in PP is always ranting about something. Ive witnessed him going on and on and on to his wife, who also works in the shop, really giving her some abuse. I'm amazed he hasnt just exploded like Mr Cresote from his own rage.

Last time i went in, and subsequently vowed never to go back, he was swearing and going at me, in front of my 9 year old, for wasting his time or some such. He really doesnt like kids in the shop it seems.

Pity as it is a real aladdin's cave of old and new plastic kits.
