I'm NOT asking: What's the best WWII figure or range ever?

I'm asking: Which specific WWII miniature are you irrationally drooling over at this present moment?

For me, it's the GHQ Kfz 15 in 6mm. Shorter than a thumbnail is wide, but the detail is just beyond belief. The radio car version isn't half bad either.

Battlefront's British paras, 15mm.

What a deal. QRF just announced they are adding an ACG to their line, effective tomorrow.

Now that's service.

Now that's funny right there, that is, I don't care who you are.

Reviresco's 1/72 scale (aka 20mm scale") Laffly S20TL 6x6 troop carrier. Neglected, under-appreciated, underrepresented by manufacturers, but ultimately necessary if one wants to have the correct ride for the motorized Dragons Porte of the French DLMs in 1940.

Captured examples also turned up in German inventories until late 1944.

IMHO it is a must-have vehicle for the Early War 20mm gamer that has been well-executed by master model maker Allan Wolf for Reviresco in 1/72 scale whitemetal.

I am very excited to have pulled out of storage a US Recon Squad with their M3A1 White Scout Car, Battlefront 15mm. I had started a platoon a while back, but burned out on FOW before I really gained any momentum. Now that I am doing sirmish-sized forces in 15mm, doing just a squad of these guys, a squad of Panzergrenadiers with their halftrack, and an Italian Sahariana and crew makes more sense.

I have some second hand BF German Fallschirmjaeger that a very nice person gifted me at Christmas. They have some flash issues, but they're mine.

So I like them. I'm also pretty excited about the Old Glory 15mm Canadian Vickers platoon I got in trade from a friend.

panzerCDR25 Jan 2010 6:42 p.m. PST

The Battlefron LW SS infantry are very nice. I still really like the Peter Pig LW Germans and often wonder if I should have used them for some of my LW Germans. Very cool.

No T35 as yet unfortunately! We do have the T26 coming in the next batch from the designer though.

Peter Pig Late War Germans, and Germans in Zeltbahn. They're so fabulous, and the poses so many and varied (including kneeling and prone shooters!! So WOW! MY infantry actually know how to take cover and shoot…they aren't all charging ahead like knuckleheads) that I am finding myself preparing to expand my grenadiers altho I had no intention to originally.

richarDISNEY26 Jan 2010 9:32 a.m. PST

Artizan. All of them. 28mm and they have a good hefty feel to them…

Americans are next and they are adding to their Germans. They are also expanding the line of Weird War stuff.

Jovian 1: I love their Somuas as well. I have a whole bunch of them to finish up after the Chars.

Martin Rapier27 Jan 2010 5:02 a.m. PST

Right now? I'm doing WW1 not WW2, so my stunningly daft card model Schneider CA-1. I can't decide whether to paint it or not.

Plus the bloke from the Airfix WW1 French set with a flag, what more useful bit of kit do you need on the battlefield? Plus his pal with the signal pigeon. Speckled Jim as he will henceforth be known.

For me it is the JTFM German Neubaufahrzeug tank in 1/56. A great looking tank.

The Minifigs N gauge Japanese Type 89; oh wait they haven't made it yet. Oh well, it would have been my favorite.
