Does anyone know where to find the rules for the Epic Tau – for the "Epic 40,000" rules, not the current "Epic: Armageddon" rules. Thanks, Greg |

Link for everything Epic Tau
link Go to Tactical Command when looking for anything & everything Epic
or 6mm Sci-fi for that matter
You should find E40K Tau here on Tac Cmd
link Of Course the original Tau E40K rules were published in the long OOP Epic 40,000 mag, issue 9

Legion 4 – thanks for the links, except they don't work (at least for me). Any other ideas? Is there some kind of online archive of the "Firepower" magazines that GW used to publish? I think that is where the rules for Epic Tau first appeared. |

I might be wrong but i don't think any rules for them exist for Epic 40,000 (unless fan made) you could try net epic gold, but thats a fan updated version of Spacemarine 2ED, which was the previous incarnation of epic before Epic 40,000. (Just to clarify the Tau did not exist in the 40k universe before 2001 when they were introduced, Epic 40,000 was released in 1997) |

The 'official' list appears in the Forgeworld Imperial Armour book 3 – Taros Campaign. A bit expensive at £55.00 GBP to get hold of an Epic army list mind

But the official list will be for Epic: Armageddon not Epic 40,000. |

Lapsed Pacifist – thanks for adding that clarification. You are correct. The Taros book has rules and stats for Epic Armageddon (which is not bad) but I am trying to find the Tau rules for Epic 40k, the previous version of the game. There was a brief period of co-existence when the Tau (for Epic, I mean) were produced by Forgeworld, and then one of the Epic mags came out with a list for them. This was before "Epic: Armageddon" came out. Anyway, if there is a link out there that someone has, or even if there is some kind of online archive for the Epic/Firepower magazines that someone knows about, I would appreciate it. Thanks much! I am big fan of Epic Armageddon rules. They have the best balance of all Epic rules between detail and playability. I have not played with / against Tau in Epic Armageddon but I believe they have an active playing circle. Give it a look over sometime. Cheers James |

Well worse case scenario
I'll copy them and mail'm to you ! You can PayPal me post ! Of course I do agree
having been "Epicing" since SM1 in '90
Epic:A is my fav version/iteration

Greg B, Shoot me an email at this username at yahoo dot com. There were some PDFs on a fansite a few years back that had some of the raw stats for the E40K Tau. I'll shoot you a copy
should tide you over until you procure a copy of the actual magazine. Chris |
