Excellent! :-) Oddly enough I'm (a) painting my existing Belgians this month, and (b) playing around with a decal sheet.

As for wants, the 47mm ATG is absolutely top of the list for me, together with the ACG-1, and the cavalry version of the Vickers tractor (with the fold-down seats at the side.) FN Tricars and Marmon-Herrington armoured tractors would also be neat and distinctively Belgian….

Dom.

PS – For artillery you've already got a head-start; GLN18 from your WWI German stuff for the 75mm GP.III, which was simply a re-bored version of it.

…which was simply a re-bored version of it…

You have to re-bore it yourself.

I already have, times four – I nearly had an embarrassing mix-up between my 0.75 and 0.77mm pin vice bits, though…. ;-)

Good deal. Now if I can just get the wife to agree to mortgage the home to feed my addiction.

I'd prefer Chasseurs Ardennais to line troops to start Geoff.

Any chance of 1940 Dutch after you've finished the Belgium Range?

Cheers

This is an odd request, but you did ask (on your website) for suggestions.

I like Belgians, crud armies over the years but the best chips, chocolate and beer anywhere. I'll have some when they appear, especially the dinky little gun carrying bobcats.

Wargamer5725 Jan 2010 2:13 p.m. PST

Goooooood news!
Chasseurs Ardennais certainly excellent idea!

As a practical matter I agree on the infantry; I have a "line" company of True North, so won't bite there, but will pretty much certainly go for a company of CA if and when you do them….

There goes the budget. Geoff you're evil! 8^D

Me too and just when I was considering 1940 "done".

Another vote for the Chasseurs Ardennais, please.

GeoffQRF27 Jan 2010 1:14 p.m. PST

Other than the beret, the differences would be…?

Personal logo Doms Decals Sponsoring Member of TMP27 Jan 2010 2:15 p.m. PST

Negligible iirc…. The CA had ditched the rather stylish black leather jacket by the time of hostilities, so uniform's the same cut and material. I'll try and dig out some photos later to check if there's any difference in foot/legwear, but if not it's just the headgear.

GeoffQRF27 Jan 2010 2:40 p.m. PST

In that case… would both line AND Chasseurs Ardennais be of interest? :-)

Nobody's likely to object…. ;-)

GeoffQRF27 Jan 2010 3:41 p.m. PST

I have these.

Other than the colour tabs and the beret…

Just the job – only bit I was unsure of was whether the gaiters were the same, so it looks like headswaps should be all it takes…. As an aside, are you doing them in greatcoats or just tunics? Presumably the latter, but I figure it's best to ask – not sure if the line greatcoat was the same as the CA one or longer….

PS – Lots of CA re-enactor shots; one in the greatcoat, which is (correctly) very short, so as not to interfere with bicycle chains mainly…. link

PPS – Shout out if you decide to add a dedicated truck at any stage – I'd imagine that's low on the list, but the lads on the Overalwagen forum are very knowledgable on the subject, and there's a wealth of photos buried in various threads there – I'm more than happy to go digging if it'd be useful….

Dom,

Do you currently offer decals for the Belgians?

If not, do you plan them in the near future?

GeoffQRF27 Jan 2010 11:19 p.m. PST

From Dom's first post, sounds exactly like that's what he is planning.

Line infantry moulded…

Indeed, no and yes in that order….
