My daughter and I have been playing A Song of Blades and Heroes. I made a quick post about it on my blog.

That was excellent! I love hearing about the ways people get their kids involved with gaming.

Is that golem a Hellboy II toy?

SoBH,what a fun game. My daughter turns 5 soon, and I figure in another year or two,I'll go the same route.

Twisted,
Yes it's a Golden Army Soldier by Mezco. I picked it up form Big Bad Toy Store. It comes with a 3.75 inch Hellboy.

My hat is off to you. Great idea!!!

I have done the same with my kids. I have a simple set of rules.
Boss get 2 attacks 1d6 each
Troopers get 1 attack @1d6
Move 6" (one stick)
Shoot (old GW 18" stick)

The kids love it. They really like playing with Daddy's little men, and talking for the little men.

I have wanted to pick up Song of blades, but I have way to many rule sets, and one more is well not needed.

Here is a snip from my blog my kids a paining.

I love gaming with my son and he loves that he gets to help his dad design games.

Now when we go to the toy store and he sees a cool toy he always says "Wouldn't that be cool to use in the game!" or "Why don't you make a game so we can use that!"
