Dreamblade Repainted

Hundvig Fezian is not a real big fan of pre-painted minis, and he positively despises randomly-packed "collectable" ones - so why is he writing this article?

When you can get a bunch of basic pre-painted sets first:

I mean, get the set(s) you want and then flesh them out (Zombie Pun Not Included)with a few select painted lead miniatures!

OK if you're into 1:24 scale miniatures (those pirates are 2.75 inches tall!).

But point well taken, I myself really enjoy the Wizards of the Coast Star Wars miniatures. I dislike painting (err, well, love-hate, sometimes I admit to enjoying it – a little), and those figures are "good enough" for me. If I were ambitious I'd just treat them as "block painted and ready for touch ups."

Sumo…I agree.

While they are all basically "Toy Soldier size"…you can see the variations…but for quick and sleazy starter sets…I don't think they can be beat!

PLUS…you can get "Bacon Flavored Mints" from these guise too!

I paint my minis because I want them to look good. Not to say Archie McPhee isn't a fun to place to shop!

I like painting, but these look like fun. Especialy the cold war unicorns.

The main problem I have with pre-paint miniatures in general is that they rarely include mounted figures.

My favourite picture on that site is of the "Angry Mob" seeing off a Hammer & Sickle branded unicorn!

Why Paint Minis?

Because that's my hobby? I must say, these do look like fun for kids, though one line triggered my spider-sense: "…and appear to be handpainted.". Hmmmm, if the seller has no idea about them in this way, I'd steer far away from these for toys for kids as they probably come from deep within the country that wants to poison others' children with lead and cadmium….

Oooh, curry flavored Kali mints and brain flavored zombie mints. How many should I order?

My favorite is the "Last Supper dinner mints" and the "Jesus action figure". where did you find this wonderful/lunatic company?

Ooooh – and the zombies glow in the dark – how cool is that!
