Great work on those. I've got the sets, but sadly not even primer on them yet. |

Am loving the string quartet and they are testing my new year resolution to stop buying figures!! "Sorry" about that. I'm the dude who started the Eureka 100 Club for a string quartet. Thought it'd make a nice piece for my SYW Austrian army. My bad. John |

I'm in the same boat Goldwyrm – they're lovely figures though. |

I have a slug of stuff to prime, but my cellar is so darned cold. 8^( These are in the first batch. After all, SOMEONE needs to be playing in the gazebo for my sedan chair races! I am glad His Eminence posted his link first, so I do not make the mistake of painting them identically. When Bill announces nominations open for the TMP awards, I intend to nominate these for "Best Historical Miniatures for 2009". The whole set. |

When I started the "Age of Reason" 100 Club requests a few years ago with "Continentals in Camoaign Dress", "Ragged Continentals", etc., I specified "Perry compatible". I think everything since has been to the same standard. I know these are. |

I thought up the rest wow OFm you are are a fine fellow well said
this is the first of a number of these I am doing , I start a second this afternoon , will paint id a bit differently, thinking gilt chairs with blue cushions for the next one .. they really need a polished floor to stand on , will leave that for the customers.. |

By the way, Eureka has a few "18th Century Civilians" in its 28mm catalog. They are comic vignettes, each one having an obese character, one a parson, one with gout, one with a naughty serving wench in his lap, etc. Check them out, they are fun to paint, and totally useless on the wargaming table for those uptight types who agonize over proper lace for the ADC, but I love them in saloon brawls. Great if you need snobs, fops and trollops. |

I don't own the Voltaire and Frédéric miniatures, but i've begun to collect Eureka French Revolution Austrian and French armies and they are compatible in size with the Perry 1815 range. They are my favorite figures for 2009 (I've been waiting for more than 15 years a good 1793-99 range). |
