I am looking for some largish (maybe man-sized) spiders in 15mm. The goal is to convert them to some gun-toting sci-fi spider pirates (I'Sred*ni from Traveller.) Ideally they would be in the 150kg scale mass range. I have heard that Scotia makes exactly what I am looking for (spiders with guns and environment suits,) but I am unable to find pictures lol!

Thank you for any and all suggestions!

implala,

sounds like a cool project. I thought I saw giant spiders in the fantasy range at 15mm.co.uk.

Check out Khurasan Miniatures. They have spiders and alien figures in 15mm.

Some little spiders for 28mm oughtta be the right size for big spiders in 15mm.

Thank you for all of the suggestions, none of those are *quite* what I am looking for. Additonal suggestions are welcome!

Hmm. What about Warhammer Fantasy goblin spiders?

I think that the styrene plastic they are made from makes conversions with Green Stuff a lot easier than vinyl toy spiders.

Bag o' plastic spiders from a halloween store?

I have the perfect spiders…metal, great size for your need, but…I got them as a gift and they did not come with any labels…so I am going to have to do some research, but they are really good.

***time passes as I search***

Well I had no luck finding mine, but I did find these link

Do I really want to putty up 10 halloween spiders in enviro suits (complete with bubble helmet) and guns? I may have to! I have a bag of 50 that are exactly the right size, they just don't look that good…

These may work, they are around 1" diameter.

I love big monsters to terrorise my hapless 15mm fantasy minis

Well Johnnie, that Heresy model certainly had Leo G. Carroll over a barrel ….

I think we can blame D&D for the confusion between "Large," "Huge," and "Giant" <fill-in-the-blank> monsters. wink

Gracias,

Glenn
