Altho I wouldn't mind some Nazi Zombies, i don't have any faith in wargames factory at the moment. They started taking deposits for the 6mm androids 8 months ago ($1/sprue; i had a meager 5) after they'd hit *2000*. Basically nothing has happened since then. So until they figure out what they're doing, i'll be ignoring them. |

I have to agree with elakin. Until they actually start releasing some of the items, I will pass on it. |

Until they actually start releasing some of the items, I will pass on it. What are you talking about?! They've released modern zombies, numidians(generic light infantry), and vikings all from this program. If you would bother to ask, or even look where dozens of previous individuals have asked, you'd know that most of that 8 months was spent waiting for 1000 people to pony up their $1.00. Once the $1,000.00 USD requirement was met, WF then started trying to sort out how to make 6mm miniatures, as currently their experience has been exclusively 28mm. I'm one of the individuals waiting for the 6mm androids, but I understand that a 4 person staff can only accomplish so much while trying to make enough money to stay in business. Personally, I'd rather they take a little more time if it means they can keep the lights on and continue producing minaitures I want. For the record, I am neither employed by or affiliated with Wargames Factory. I'd be saying the same thing if you were making inaccurate claims against ERM, Warlord, Victory Force, or any of the other dozens of companies I buy from. |

Maybe I read it wrong, but its a $0 USD pre-order. IT harms nothing to sign up
. Me, I LOVE the idea!

I would really love it if these took off! Honestly I have been really shocked that they haven't. There are, obviously, a number of fine figures out there portaying this subject but in metal. Having plastics available to really 'flesh' out some hordes would be awesome! |

There are Ruskie Zeds up too: link |

i read the description of the sprue on WGF's site, and i dont think it has been advertised in great enough detail to capture attention, as a more detailed description of what the sprue actually contained would be better, so would it be a sprue of 4 or 5 nazi zombies? other ides could possibly be a zombie conversion sprue for the wehrmacht they are planning on releasing, lots of zombie arms and heads and a couple of bodies that could all be mixed and matched? what kind of outfits would they be wearing? I would like these to get made but i just cant help feeling they would just do another mash-up like the celts. also i can get 24 plastic WGF zeds for about £14, i can get 20 metal westwind sotr for £16.00 GBP it doesnt cost that much more for metal |

Im of the opinion that the plastics should not cost nearly what they do. Im thinking about half of what retail is for the plastics. Dont get me wrong, Im a big fan of them and have about 300 WGF German barbarians and almost 500 of their zeds. But with costs being what they are, why buy plastic when you can damned near by metal figures for just a bit more? I dont mean to sound like one of those grumpy pillocks who complain about plastics, or whatever their complaint of the day is. I just think that the current range of available plastics are a bit overpriced
and that's from all manufacturers. Id like to see WGF do some sort of discount if you send in your old sprues when you order. I know about the sprue return drawings they have, but Id prefer a discount myself than just a chance at winning something. And I did "pre-order" 20 sprues of these because I'd like to see them made. It doesnt cost you anything to do it. |

i think for me i prefer metal because i like to hand the model was hand sculpted and hand made all the way through its production process. this for me makes up for the small increase in price over plastics. i dont want to sound like one of the masses, but i do blame games workshops rediculous rise in the cost of plastic kits over the last 10 years or so for the current pricing of wargaming plastics today. remember when a rhino tank cost £5? has production costs for chinese made sprues risen so much? nope didnt think so. I know WGF arent as expensve as GW, but they are competing with very good cheap metals and need something other than just slightly lower costs to bring us metal heads around. |

I do believe there is a thread on the WGF forum concerning this potential figure set. Perhaps that would be a good place to post some ideas to 'flesh' out what you would like to see produced. I don't think a mash up set is likely especially since their sculpting and casting has improved so much just in the last few sets. Regardless, it would be cool to see them made. At only 8% though, there is a ways to go. Still, it was at 4% for a very long time, so at least it is moving a bit! As for the cost, I wonder how much that is a UK/US problem? The online WGF store has the vanilla Zeds at $17.95 USD for 24. Seems to me when ever I order some metals I feel pretty jazzed if they are in the $2 USD per figure range. Plus, it seems that WGF is pretty good about doing a bargain pre-release and, as has been stated above, it is a no money down pre-order, so really there is nothing to lose! |

I saw this old thread and it got me to wondering: Is the League still around? I was under the impression that after the WGF ker-fuffle that it was DOA. |
