Just noticed new 25/28mm Gnw figs on TMP by Fuzilier. Pics look fine . How are they in the lead, can I get them in the UK/ How will they fit with my Reiver Castings Swedes- which are fairly large figures and very nice too. When will I get Cavalry. I'm told the Reiver Swedish cav will be out at Cold Wars but I won't be over this year so I'll have to wait until OGUK get his. Life is all Questions ain't it ???

Foundry are I believe re releasing their Marlburian range which includes a number of Swedish and Russian figures.

Also Front Rank are releasing Marlburian and plan also to include GNW figures in the future.

UK Mark

Foudry can ,I'm afraid whistle, I remember that range first time around. I like Front Rank stuff , have lots of their 7yw but I'll probably die of old age before it all gets released. Mind you at least they'll fit in size wise with Reiver.

I have seen the Fuzileer Swedish musketeers & pikeman & they are very fine figures-some of the finest 28mm I've ever seen. They are 28mm & should go well with other figures. The figures are all in a vigorous charging pose-appropriate for Swedes.

As I understand it they are but OG also make them in the USA- Checking out the websites the stuff is packaged differently in the USA from the UK

I use a number of different figure ranges for the GNW. I bought many of the old foundry range cheap. The problem is cavalry figures. I am looking foward to seeing what Reiver come up with for their Swedish Cavalry.

There are a few pictures of my GNW stuff at our website.

Bending Andys ear this weekend I found out he hopes to have 3 packs of Swedish GNW cav for Triples. Together with a bunch of the Reiver 1680s cav this should help out UK marks problem and mine...

Hairybeast0216 Apr 2004 1:01 a.m. PST

Picked up some of the Reiver GNW cav at Triples. Nice big chaps on nice big horses. I've painted a few up and they are well tasty - despite initial qualms about the horses legs. There are 3 packs with plenty of variation in the troopers less so in the command. 3 or 4 different horses. The chaps actually fit the horses. There is a bit of fiddling to get either sword or pistol hands on the arm but once done the fit is secure. Detail is good but not overpowering. Some nice paintable faces. Pretty flash free but watch between the back legs on some of the horses. The 1680s stuff is as good. I've added a troop of Tangier Horse to the Garrison of Charlie 11 s colony.

The Fuzileer Swedish figures produced by The London War Room are designed and sculpted by Bob Charrette of Parroom Station. The detail is amazing. Cavalry will be next. However, this line will be slow in getting releases out due to Bob's hectic schedule. But if you want beautiful Swedes, you can't go wrong with these.
